I use these to hook a computer up to a monitor for testing and initially they worked right out of the box without any kind of setup or configuration. After that is a different story. When I disconnected the receiver from the monitor and connected it to a TV I can never get them to display a picture again. I went through all the steps to resync the transmitter and receiver for the instructions to no avail. Im not sure what the issue is but after half an hour of messing around with them I gave up and decided it wasnt worth my time. Something like this just should work without having to fiddle around with it each and every time you want to use it.

I got this to avoid using an HDMI cable at events where we needed a portable scoreboard, and with my projector and portable screen this was a no-brainer to put that scoreboard closer to the guests who came to the roller derby bout. Connecting is a no-brainer as the transmitter and receiver are paired at the factory. I do wish my laptop had more old-style USB-A ports to connect this with, but I used an old phone charger to supply the necessary power to the transmitter and I was up and running. The resolution is great (looks crystal clear to me, so likely is the full 4k they claim) and within the distance claimed I had no problems connecting. There is a bit of lag between when I move my mouse and when it moves on the screen, but its nothing I cant work through. I had not expected audio to transmit as well as video, but when I broadcast some videos from my laptop onto my TV the sound was definitely coming from the TV (which means no more HDMI cables on movie nights - YAY!). For what this does, I am blown away by how well it works and how simple it is to use - this is MUCH better than any Chromecast Ive ever used as I get to control what I cast and it doesnt have to be in a web browser.

This works pretty well, although it did not result in my laptop screen being automatically being mirrored to my monitor. I had to bring up my windows display settings and configure the display setup there. Fortunately I’m familiar with configuring windows. The documentation included with HDMI transmitters is sparse, so those unfamiliar with windows configuration may struggle. The Amazon product page for the HDMI transmitter states that it will not work IOS devices such as an iPad. This is not true. For an iPad you need an USB C to HDMI converter. For an iPhone a Lightning port to HDMI converter will do the trick. As in MS windows, once you’ve made the connection, you’ll need some additional configuration to get the remote window to look and act like you want it to. Although the receiver and transmitter seem identical, they are different; one is labeled computer and the other TV/Monitor. One disadvantage the HDMI transmitter has when compared to a plain HDMI cable is that the HDMI transmitter and the receiver need access to a USB port to power both the Transmitter and the receiver. I was able to cast my laptop screen to my TV in another part of the house using the HDMI Transmitter/Receiver combo. One thing I noticed is that both the transmitter and receiver got quite hot after a very short time of connecting. I’m not sure what that means for long term reliability. One other thing I noticed, that may or may not be relevant, is when I attempted to look at some other reviews for the HDMI wireless HDMI extender kit, I found most of the reviews were for another product entirely. The bottom line is this may be a useful kit for transmitting from your PC or other device to a display that is some distance away, provided you’re willing to a bit of configuration.

I was perhaps more curious than informed on this device? Wireless mirooing says it all! The set up and instructions were not a steep curve….but experiemcing how it changes and adds to many display and source options in my HT / Office was a very pleasant discovery! Seeing media from my IPhone wirelessly on my flat screen is a new world of connectivity between my devices! This adds image targeting and sharing options you think could never be done? Plug & play wireless mirroring (PPWM?) The vendor specs do a far better job of detailing all the uses and connectivity this Dongle offers than I can. BUT read the ‘Notes To Buy’…..it works great in many cases..but not the ones you may wish it would due various ‘copyright protections’. It was just a little less useful for me because of these issues. Would I use it from now on....yes!

The Wireless HDMI Transmitter and Receiver worked well for both video and sound. I was able to send 1080p Full HD video and sound at 60fps with no noticeable latency. The dongles felt a bit too flimsy and can be squeezed almost too easily. The caps needed to be attached to the units with at least a string so that they dont get misplaced. Both the transmitter and receiver MUST be powered via the micro-USB ports. Pairing was easily done by holding down the button on the transmitter.

Given that it was literally the best deal available when I got it, I am genuinely impressed with how well this HDMI transmitter receiver set worked. I just plugged the transmitter into the device HDMI output and the receiver into my television HMDI input, and the USB power ends into the closest USB ports around, and boom, it just paired up and worked automatically, transmitting quality picture and sound right away. I plugged the receiver into my GoPro Hero 8 Black Media Mod HDMI output (well, the normal HDMI end of a cable that adapts the media mods micro-HDMI) and the power-USB end into a USB battery pack and - Awesome! - instant zero-lag casting from the GoPro camera to the television without any software, cloud, subscriptions, complicated pairing configurations, apps, wifi hotspots, etc. Finally an easy answer to this problem - AND! - it was really cheap! Just a fantastic buy and Im very satisfied; I recommend highly without hesitation.

I dont know about you, but when I saw the picture, I had absolutely no faith this would work well. Just a cable with two connections? How could that work? So, it actually has two cables. One is for output and one is for input (self explanatory.) It is powered by USB. So I used my computer out HDMI and USB (A) for power. Plugged the second cable into my TV about 40 feet away, HDMI in and USB for power. That was it. It worked perfectly. The directions are basically non-existent, but who needs them!? Nothing to this. It does comes with a black HDMI extender, but that is necessary only if you need more cable length so you can reach the HDMI port or the USB port. Nothing special. Overall, works fine in the distance I tried. I am going to try a more complicated use in the next few weeks and will update if there is any change, but I am 100% convinced and a believer. This is way too easy! I hope this review was helpful!

This kit works really well especially with my projector machine. Just use my console or computer to transmit to it. Really user friendly and great value for the money.

Tested with phone and laptop transmitting to TV. Image quality was good and no visible lag. Tested distance to about 20ft with no issues.
