> 3 dayI have purchased many of these plugs over the years. The application was never very user friendly but I figured it out. I do not use Alexa or Google home and don’t want to. I recently had to go to the new application which is more organized. No I tried adding a new plug to my house however and it has been nothing but a pain in the neck. It will not connect to my network no matter what I do. I have received the email saying it is connected but not showing up. This has me very frustrated. Although I like the concept and having my lights on a timer Islas that is what I want these timers have timed out. Seems as if you don’t use google home or Alexa they don’t work. I’ll have to find another option or just go back to my old style dial timer. Anything is infinitely better that trying to add these to my application and network since I don’t seem to be able to making them useless Update: Daylight savings time really screws things up. I have at least 18 of these. I will be replacing them all with a different brand. These have frustrated me to no end

> 3 dayI have set up 3 of these, and thankfully, I still had the instructions for the 3rd one, because it is NOT straightforward nor simple...and I am a techie!! If I ever needed to set these up and did not have the instructions, it would be impossible. Physically, they are a bit large and while you *can* plug them in with something else in the other side of a duplex outlet, you will have an issue if the other thing is more than a simple plug.

17-11-2024Great once you can figure out how to configure it! They should have a scan option. I finally chatted with their customer service and they did help after several attempts. Works great with Alexa once you connect it! They need to include better directions with this product or make it easier.

> 3 dayLate delivery. Why do i pay for Amazon Prime? Ok, the important part. DOES NOT WORK WITH ALEXA. It works, on it’s own, after you install 2 different apps. Both from Broadlink. But then try to link it to Alexa and you’re out of luck. First it wants you to create an account so they can get your email address. Then it wants access to Bluetooth. Then it wants to go on and on. I gave up. Will work it from their app. Again, it works, but is needlessly complicated in setting up. It’s like trying to install a 3rd party app on an iPad. Ok so it was $20 cheaper than an Amazon SmartPlug (that are way overpriced) but it almost isn’t worth it. Buy it if you want a cheap alternative to Amazon but don’t expect it to work with Amazon. Oh yeah, did i mention setting a routine? 24 hour clock. Who made this thing? The French? ************** 5 months since purchased. Stopped working. ******************

> 3 dayIm not normally a fan of wifi devices, but these are impressive to say the least. Installing them is as simple as plugging them in, opening the connection to the device on the wifi of your phone and activating them with the phone. Ive had no trouble with them disconnecting, or failing. They work extremely well and the range they pick up is phenomenal. My phone will barely connect to the hub I have them on where theyre located but they work flawlessly. Im impressed. I have three of these in my shop a good 40 or more feet from my hub thats in my house. Im blown away that they dont lose connection that far away. Once theyre installed, all I had to do was look for them in Alexa and use them. No app needed. Thats impressive stuff right there.

> 3 dayThe product advertise no app, but it still demands you provide an email to register your device through their website. I was wrong to interpret no app as no third party snooping. It is not the manufacturers fault. I was looking for a wifi device that works without registration or setup without through an external website, but it seems this does not exist. It seems rather invasive to have my thermostat or light switch on the internet connected to data systems I do not control.

> 3 dayI purchased this product to add to my connected devices in my house. When I received the plug, it came with instructions that were convoluted and it gave multiple instructions for multiple apps and not one app made the plug work. Not to mention the fact that it would not, after all the hours I spent attempting to connect it to the apps and then to Alexa, it never connected to anything that would make it work. Fortunately, I purchased it through Amazon so I had the opportunity to return it.
