04-06-2025I like that the skates have cushion and are not a hard boot but the sizing didn’t work. I ordered a 8 and it was small (I’m a size 8) and I ordered a 9 and it was different than the size 8 as far as comfort it was uncomfortable and both skates rubbed against foot so it cause foot to hurt. Other than that the skates are nice but the sizing didn’t work. Also, the 9 skate wheel was messed up.

> 3 dayMy new skates arrived today and I have to say I absolutely made the perfect choice! I did plenty of research before I decided to purchase BTFL Roller Skates. I am petite with thin skin and was worried the leather or less expensive skates would cut through my skin. This padded, suede pair will not! They are stylish and glide perfectly, and they are extremely comfortable. I wear a size 7.5 womens shoe so I bought the size 7 skate. Perfect fit! (Scarlett Pro, US Womens: 07 / US Mens: 5,5) I definitely recommend this skate for the money. Its better not to go cheap on roller skates.

> 3 dayThese are so comfy for me which is difficult to find because small heel, short toes, kinda flat feet, and cankles. I wear women’s US 8.5 tennis shoes and women’s US 9 heeled boots. The women’s 9/ men’s 8 in these skates fit great. Due to the flatness I also have in LTOHOE Memory Foam Insoles for Women, Pink US 7.5 which fit near perfect in these. The round waxed laces were uncomfortable in one area rubbing on my right big toe knuckle because this foot is slightly wider than the left, so I swapped with flat shoe laces in there and now it’s perfect.

> 3 dayI was a professional dance skater 25? years ago. My expensive skates no longer fit due to changes in my feet. I knew I wanted good skates but didn’t want to spend what I did back then because I wasn’t even sure I could still skate. These are awesome. Indoors and out. I don’t do rough surfaces because I still have a “protect me wheels” mentality but for smooth rink wear, I’m overjoyed that these are so great right out of the box. I checked all the wheel bearings and you definitely want to tighten the stoppers if you’re keeping them on the skates. The stoppers are loose (most are because everyone likes them at a diff height). Extremely comfortable even on my aging feet. Roll with a nice medium spin perfect for anyone who knows how to skate already. If you’re a beginner the bearing speed may take some getting used to but even when I was teaching beginners, I preferred a wheel that spins well. If you have cheap or old skates or ever try rentals, spin a wheel with your hand and you’ll see what I mean. Slow spin wheels make it much more difficult to learn in my humble opinion but they do it out of safety and use cheap bearings. These are NOT those! I can’t imagine anyone would be disappointed with these skates unless they’re a mega pro skater that needs the best of the best. I bought my usual size 8 to account for a foot problem even though my foot is actually a 7.5. Add a thick sock which is always nice when you’re on your feet for a while and these fit perfect. Plus… they’re so pretty!!!

> 3 daySkates arrived with no scuffs or dark marks like other reviewers have mentioned. However, the eyelets that touch the tongue when you lace them up do cause marking, so I wouldn’t be surprised if some come with marks on them. I imagine suede cleaner will take this out easily and I recommend getting that in advance. They seem to be a good quality for the price. Also, definitely make sure you have a skate tool when you purchase as these do not come with one. I had to loosen and adjust everything which is to be expected. The boots themselves are very comfortable everywhere (no blisters!) except for the insert. It feels rock hard after skating for a bit. Definitely buy some good inserts to make them more comfortable. I would also recommend toe guards to protect the suede. The toe stops seem pretty decent and same for the wheels. Definitely good for a beginner skater outdoors. Eventually I will go for slightly harder and smaller wheels to work on tightening my spins and turns, but for getting used to outdoor skating and uneven surfaces they’re fine. The plates are nylon so these are not the skates for skateparks where you’re grinding or dropping into a bowl as they can snap. I did a roll test upon receiving them and one of my skates is perfectly straight and the other pulls in one direction a bit. I’m still playing with the cushions to see if maybe I can get it better, but it’s definitely something to be aware of. All in all, with a few adjustments and minor tweaks these seem to be pretty quality skates for general outdoor skating and some jam skating. They fit my needs perfectly.

> 3 dayI was happy that the skates came in larger sizes (I wear a womens 13), but the color choices were limited to the tan and black. Luckily, a $8 bottle of leather dye , some new laces, and a toe protector made these into the cute skates I was looking for! I definitely recommend buying some better bearings and loosening the trucks to actually make some headway as a beginner skater (without unnecessary struggling) . These are the biggest bang for your buck!

> 3 dayI was unsure about buying a skate brand that I’ve never heard of but I took a chance because I wanted to buy suede skates to be light on my feet. I read the reviews and felt confident it would be ok. I recently tried impala skates and they hurt my feet terribly and were heavy. When I got these skates I immediately loved the color. I slid my foot into the boot and it was heaven! It cushioned my entire foot and there was no discomfort anywhere at all. The wheels were so bouncy and smooth when skating! I used to feel pain in my shins and arches with other skates but these did not trigger those pains. I’m so happy with my purchase!

Greater than one weekScarlet Pro Womens 11 Right out of the box I was impressed. Im used to going to the rink and renting skates but I always found those boots to be super tough and uncomfortable no matter how many times I went. Now that its closed though, I wanted to get some skates of my own to stay active. As a novice skater, I did a ton of research to find the best fit for me at a reasonable price. Im by no means an expert nor do I intend on doing crazy tricks, I got these just for cardio/dance purposes. Think the movie Roll Bounce or ATL if you want to know what I am getting at. So my review may not work for you if you intend to use these to do some crazier stuff. Pro: The boot! Super comfortable! Like surprisingly comfy. I was expecting some sort of break in time needed but as soon as I put them on they fit snug and tight without my ankle suffering. It comes with an almost paper thin insole but thats an easy fix. I bought some insoles of my choosing on Amazon to replace them with. For sizing I measured my foot from the heel to the longest toe and went by the size chart. Im a 6ft woman with slightly wider feet than average women so I was skeptical at first about the fitting but it was a perfect match in the end. The design is really nice. I like how neat the overall stitching is on the boot and the color (Scarlet Pro) is very pretty sky blue. Adjustable stop. Again, Im tall and this is a MUST because of comfortability. Cons: No skate tool is included. Out of the box I noticed that the wheels are a bit stiff (they dont spin) and I need to have them loosened but I dont have a skate tool so Im waiting till I get one before I skate. Overall, the quality of the boot is nice, the wheels are perfect for general skating outside as well as inside, and the design is very aesthetically pleasing. This isnt a pro or con however, I did also decide to get a toe cap for the boot only because I really dont want to mess up boot in case I fall and scuff the tip too much.
