Bucilla Sugar Plum Fairy Christmas Stocking Felt Applique Kit, 85431 18-Inch

I am new at this type of project. This took me 10 days to complete only working a couple hours a day. I do have embroidery experience, but not since I was a child. The stocking came out beautifully. I did run out of red beads, white floss and a couple color sequins. Luckily, the craft store carried what I needed, but I do think that for the cost and it being a kit, you shouldnt run out of multiple included supplies. I also added an area above the top to add my daughters name, one because I felt the cupcake wasnt very sturdy. Also, I wanted it to be like the one my grandma made me as a small child. This was to carry on a tradition she started, so I wanted that similarity. I chose to line the inside to keep stitches from snagging stocking suffers, ands extended the backing to match the added height of the name plate I added. Ill add pictures soon. Overall very doable kit with clear instructions ands room to make it your own. Now all my children want them!

This stocking was a lot of work, but well worth it! It turned out beautifully and will become a family heirloom!

This is a beautiful stocking. Beware - there are probably in excess of 200 small pieces that need to be cut, embroidered, sequined, and appliqued onto the stocking. This is not a project for a beginner or somewhat with a short attention span. The directions are accurate and there are enough supplies included to finish the stocking.

perfect for a little girl that loves dancing with the ballet girl. All the colors are great and I enjoyed doing this for my granddaughter Would recommend these stockings to everyone as even beginners can do them

Just opened the kit to try to make it for my granddaughters first Christmas, and the general instructions are not in English!!!! Dont know how Im supposed to do it now...

The stocking is beautiful, but it is quite a lot of work to complete. Im glad that I purchased it early so that I can complete it in time for Christmas.
