Burts Bees Farmers Friend Hand Salve, 3-Ounce Tin (Pack of 3)

I work in healthcare and my skin is not usually super dry, but in the winter, and using hand sanitizer and frequent hand washing, I get CRACKS that bleed and sting like a MFer. This lotion heals that. 2nd: I actually have it for my daughter who has naturally dry, rough skin with eczema at times. Her hand looked raw until this and we tried everything. My boyfriend works in law enforcement and is a swimmer. His hands were rough and chapped from his hours outdoors and being in the chlorine. He was amazed. His hands were soft again so it was a gift for everyone when he started using it. This hand salve comes in a 3 pack, perfect for my life. Has made dry hands and searing pain after sanitizer a thing of the past. It’s slightly greasy feeling for a minute but resolves as it’s rubbed in. I like the smell but one can mix it with say, palmer’s cocoa butter lotion for a yummy scent. It fixed the cracks. I can’t believe I lived without it. The 8 oz tins have lasted longer than most of my relationships, and are 8$. Worth it.

After five years of searching for a non-steroid product for my eczema, I finally found the product that would moisturize as well as HEAL cracks, broken skin, and redness. It takes away itching and promotes growth of new healthy skin. First, here is a list of what Ive tried: Aveeno Eczema Therapy, California Baby Eczema Cream, SkinFix - absorbed quickly, no lasting moisture Coconut oil, Essential oils (rose hip oil, tamanu oil, lavender, palmarosa) - greasy, not moisturizing, did not promote healing CeraVe - absorbs well, moisturizes, burns on broken skin, did not promote healing SebaMed, Eucerin Eczema Relief, Dermasil - absorbs well, moisturizes, did not promote healing Aquaphor, Vaseline - extremely greasy, moisturizes, prevents cracks, somewhat helpful for healing Shea Moisture - greasy but moisturizes, did not promote healing, overwhelming strong scent Burts Bees Hand Salve - greasy but eventually absorbs into skin, moisturizes, healing Elidel - prescription non-steroid cream that promotes healing, works great The texture of Burts Bees Hand Salve feels like lip balm, the kind you have to use your finger to apply. You have to rub the product several times to get it to melt onto your finger. Then massage it into your skin. It does take some patience. I have eczema on my hands and legs, so it always takes awhile to apply, maybe 20 minutes. I like to do it while Im watching TV. It feels greasy for the first while and takes a couple of hours to fully absorb. But once it absorbs, the greasiness is gone. I apply the product three to four times a day. Whenever I dont feel the product on anymore, I reapply. Itching goes away within minutes. It helps reduce redness, cracking, and heals broken skin. Rough patches take a bit longer to disappear. The scent is a herbal, minty eucalyptus. I actually like the natural, minty scent, and so does my daughter. After about half an hour, the strong minty smell goes away, and you are left with a very subtle beeswax scent. You may not even notice it. I have eaten with my hands after having applied the product on them and did not taste it at all (which was my problem with Shea Moisture). Overall, an amazing product. It takes awhile to apply but is well worth it for eczema sufferers.

Burt’s bees is the best product for burns, scars, moisture. Used on burn that disappeared after a 9-10 months of daily application. Used on scars that even doctor was amazed at the recovery appearance after months of use.

Great for a person who does bodywork and does not want slippery lotion or oil. Good for Rolfing or structural integration type work where you want some give but not too slippery like massage oil or lotion. Also great for your hands!

It smells delicious, herbal. It moisturizes my hands and feet beautifully and lasts a long time.

While the product can be a bit greasy, it really keeps dry hands and fingers from cracking when used regularly. I keep a can in the bathroom and in the kitchen by the sink. Great suppliment to other lotions.

Very masculine scent....ok, my wife likes it too. Only con is the price. Be careful as it doesnt soak into your skin as rapidly as many other products. I like that about it.
