> 3 dayIf you are thinking of changing from a certain big brand name lip balm, do it. Burts works and doesnt seem to make you crave reapplying it every 10 minutes.

> 3 dayI am allergic to sunscreen, but I can use this chapstick. It still provides a great sun protection as well as keeps my lips very moisturized. The taste is amazing and leaves my lips feelings very soft. Definitely recommend buying this. Your significant other would definitely appreciate it also.

Greater than one weekSince I am on oxygen, for a non-smoking lung condition, I have to be careful what I use; a nurse friend told me not to be using any Vaseline or anything with petroleum jelly around my face, being on oxygen. I did a search and found the Burts Bees Lip Balm without petroleum. It moisturizes o.k., and the peppermint flavor is not strong.

> 3 dayafter trying them all, i think the okeefe lip balm is the very best at lip protection but wont use it due to some of its ingredients. the plain burts bees is great but i dont like the peppermint flavor. it DOES keep lips moisturized for hours though. so i was quite excited to get the vanilla version thinking it would be the same. it was a huge disappointment. the moment i put it on, it seemed thinner than the basic burts. and its moisturizing effect disappeared after about 2 hours. i looked at the ingredients - theyre basically the same for the two but in a different order which reflects the proportion used. i assume thats the reason for the disappointment. it tastes fabulous but just doesnt do the job nearly as well as its older established plain version.

> 3 dayIt has little to no taste. Perfect! I can finally drink water without having to take my chapstick off first. Im really happy with the natural ingredients as well because Im trying to transition to items without chemicals and unhealthy metals. It feels really moisturizing and doesnt make my lips tingle or burn and actually feels soothing on them which is awesome. I tried their pomegranate one before and I much prefer the vanilla. Maybe because vanilla is less acidic than pomegranate it feels better on my lips? It also smells good but isnt too strong which is also great because like most humans, my lips are right by my nose and if a chapstick smells too strong it might bother my sinuses. Not sure about sun protection but Id prefer not to put sunscreen chemicals where they can get into my food and water so a thick layer of chapstick as a protectant sounds better to me unless youre going to be out for hours. I havent tried wearing this hiking though so maybe Ill update later.

05-06-2025This should be the only chapstick that exists. Nothing else compares. Nothing else comes close. This is the only chapstick you will ever need. Nothing works as well or as fast.

Greater than one weekthis used to be my favorite lip balm over a decade ago, i don’t think it’s changed but my tastes and favorite lip balm have. it feels dry going on and never really feels like it goes into my skin and moisturizes at all before wearing off quickly. i used to warm it up in my pocket/hands first to help it feel less dry but that doesn’t work much. the mint is super strong, and irritates my skin. despite all this it’s still my favorite drugstore lip balm by far! i got this to use outside of the house since my favorite lip balm is one you have to apply with your finger so it’s germy, and i don’t leave my house often so i don’t have to use this often so it’s no biggie. works in a pinch.
