second one i have purchased. use them for IP Cameras! even though they are only rated at 100mbs, thats all you need for IP Cameras and most POE devices. you dont want to use this for regular computers

I needed a Power over Ethernet switch for a new VoIP phone. The BV-Tech switch is perfect for my needs and was very easy to set up.

In todays world if its a poe switch it should be gigabit. And it should be a brand that matches the rest of your system. Absolutely not going to pay the price being asked for this obsolete equipment.

Im currently using this for 24 hour monitoring with 2x POE cameras at 3 Megapixel resolution. Each camera consumes less than 12 Watts. Cable length is about 40 feet for each camera. Camera powerup and data transfer work fine and has been running continuously for over a week. Ive placed a 3rd ethernet cable into my main 1Gbs switch - using one of the POE ethernet interfaces, not the uplink interfaces - and it correctly powers down the POE and negotiates at 100Mbps. POE switch and power supply both run cool in a warm, dusty storage area. So far, so good.

Very Satisfied with purchase of Poe switch. design is very compact and has enough power to run my Poe cameras. I highly recommend it for running Poe IP cameras.
