The added Ethernet Port has been extremely useful for my Surface Pro. I have one of these for my work and home offices.

**BUYER BEWARE** This USB extension cable is extremely unpredictable with the kind of devices that are compatible with its hardware.! When the cable is plugged into my computer, everything charges just fine. However, when plugged into normal 110 volt wall outlet/USB adapter, Iphones and some mobile phones will not charge off the extension cable! I even tried plugging the cable into the USB port in the back of my WiFi switch/router. This immediately kicked me offline, disconnected me from my internet service provider, and crashed my router. Id steer clear of this product -- either it has some serious compatibility issues with mobile devices, or its just a half-assed, cheaply assembled, Chinese knockoff...or both!

This device easily expands your USB ports by adding 2 additional USB ports and a gig Ethernet, simply push it in your USB socket and presto, your up and running.

Some of the computers I maintain dont have USB 3.0 in the front. A little zip tie to the screen and problem is solved. I did test it to see the speed. There is a slight slowdown but not much from directly into the 3.0 slot.

Works well

Desktop computer is in living room. I have a keyboard and mouse in my big chair and another keyboard and mouse farther away on coffee table in front of couch. This lets me put the 4 dongles up high and unobstructed, so that I get excellent reception. I put a tiny patch of duct tape on the very bright LED that indicates power. The cord is long enough for my needs (unlike many other products) and is of very high quality.

The outlet provides plenty of extra usb space and has a good length for stretching.

Better than average USB -> ethernet dongle. Small, looks good, and it seems pretty sturdy. Thhe USB3.0 serial hub works fine. All in all, I nice, inexpensive, improvement on my Chromebook.
