Product is more solid than I expected… Even though it does not say explicitly that it is made for outdoor, I believe it could weather the elements very easily. That said , I have not used it directly exposed to the elements. My suggestion is that if you do do use some electrical tape to cover the connection

These are exactly as advertised. Rugged and durable.

This product nearly burned my house down. We had one small/low wattage LED spotlight plugged into this splitter for the holidays. Luckily I was home when I smelled something burning from the front porch area - this splitter had melted into the concrete of my front porch. We now need an electrician to verify that nothing else was damaged and will need to repaint a huge charred area of the porch where this thing self-destructed. Thank goodness no one was hurt.
