Cajun Tie Downs - Hood Loop Anchor Straps - Made in USA

> 3 dayThese are great quality loops. The size of the hole is perfect, the built in rings around the holes are solid and clean, the length is perfect, and the coating on them makes them not rough and scratchy. I still put a bit of painters tape on the edge of my hood for extra protection, but I would have done that for silk loops, too! Price was great, too, and knowing they are US built is what drew me to them. Will likely look at their other products.

Greater than one weekThese straps arrived on time, and are well made. They only took about 5 minutes to install on my Xterra and provide a convenient, secure place to tie down my kayaks. I ordered these so there would be no worries about the bow lines rubbing paint off the hood, or marring up the grill. Plus, theres no getting down, and having to secure the ropes under the front end. They tuck neatly away under the hood when not in use.

> 3 dayEasy installation and nice quality. I attached them to an existing bolt point under the hood and leave them under the hood until I need to expose to carry the kayaks. Engine heat, salt water, tension from tie-downs has been no problem. No paint issues on the hood edge where it meets the hood when in use that I have noticed.

> 3 dayFord Transit Connect - apparently has no place to tie onto in the front for a bow line. I was able to mount these to my hood hinges and they flip out right by my windshield. Its not the most ideal, but its a good solution to the problem. They are well constructed. The melted ends are done well. The eyelets are also done well. Very much worth $10 ofy time and materials. Also made in U.S.A. so I was willing to pay a few more bucks for them.

> 3 dayWe use our GMC Acadia for hauling our kayaks to local destinations. As with many modern SUVs, there is a lot of plastic in the front of that Acadia. This gives us a solid connection point for the front tie ropes, which in turn makes the kayak carrier more efficient. Our Yukon XL has hooks in the front, but we bought a set of these straps for that, as well, because it provides a more convenient connection point with a more useful rope angle. Time will tell how they hold up over time (we keep them tucked under the hood when not in use), but very happy with the straps now.

> 3 dayEasy to install. Rugged. A simple, brilliant solution for cars that don’t have sufficient tie down fittings. I use them for both my canoe & kayaks

23-11-2024Installed them under the hood as instructed, for a confident, secure means of securing/tying down my canoe. Note: I did add my own larger washers and a bit longer screws, as the ones on my vehicle werent really appropriate. An extremely simple installation upgrade. Obviously quality ratchet straps, preferably (2) over the top of your vehicle, along with rear tie downs are critical.
