Very beneficial for a construction management major, probably useful for an engineer or architect. Works nicely a for converting between units.

I bought a Construction Master III in 1993 when I built my first house. At the time, I was a general contractor. Its been decades since I have done construction professionally. But I have used the calculator periodically through the years for various personal construction projects. I bought the 4065 Construction Master Pro thinking there must be some substantial improvements over the last 30 years. It does have a few new features, but most of those are accessed using a combination of keystrokes which are difficult to remember. The markings for the alternate functions of the keys are very tiny and difficult to read. The manual, which is often needed to determine the keystrokes needed for a particular function, is difficult to get to. You have to pry the calculator out of its armor case to get the the manual tucked into the back. On my original calculator, the manual is tucked into a flap on the case, and is readily available for reference. So, I returned the 4065, and will continue to use my 30 year old calculator. In general though, these calculators are very useful.

If you are in the construction industry you should definitely consider buying this calculator. It saves a lot of time.

Use this product just about daily in pursuit of an Architecture degree and makes estimating 100x faster and more accurate. (Side note: you should still learn how to convert measurements and calculate roof / stair dimensions longhand. This tool will just do the work more precisely in a fraction of the time.)

Ive tried out 3 or 4 of these and this is the best Ive used. The cover design works really well, too. Worth the money.

I find these calculators to be extremely helpful in my profession. I own the desktop version of Construction Master Pro and love it, but its not portable. So, I purchased this one to take into the field with me and still have the same functionality.

This is the basic construction master pro calculator and if you like that brand you will love this product. I strongly recommend buying the basic version without the case if you can find it. The case is hard to open, seems ill fitting, and makes it uncomfortable to hold in your hand. Also if you get the one with the case, the traditional slide on cover is not included. I could understand if the case was hard to open because it was water or dust proof but it is neither. The gray cover that goes over the front does have sharp corners though that makes it uncomfortable to hold. Great product. Horrible cover.
