The colors are vibrant and thick for good coverage

I love the color range of these paints. Good quality for the price also. Like most paints, some are more transparent than others.

This was a gift for a younger person to do some painting and it worked very well

As an experienced painter, I wouldnt necessarily advise these for any canvas or paper surface larger than, say, 9x12 inches, unless you dont mind paying for another set soon. The tubes are rather small. I use the larger, professional tubes for larger serious work. This set, however, was a joy to receive, as I have contemplated doing fun detailed folk art painting on rocks or other small surfaces. The range of colors is pleasingly far beyond adequate; you still can mix any variations, or shades, from the selection. They appear to be of fair quality, for beginners. Only time will tell how well they they stand up to the test of light fastness, and fade resistance.

I bought this to teach two of my granddaughters how to paint while I was there babysitting them for a couple weeks. We had fun the colors are beautiful it’s not Scherer it’s got pretty good coverage unless you just do a light coat but the kids loved it. I enjoyed it. I painted a couple pictures and I paint a lot. Good value for the amount of paint and the colors that you get. Not for the refined artist for a beginner.
