For nearly 20 years, Ive been wearing Calvin Klein Mens Steel Micro underwear. Theyve always been comfortable and I never had an issue with them. However, they have gotten so expensive that I decided to revert to good old fashioned tighty-whities. Except in this case, they are black instead of white. Well these certainly brought back memories of why I switched to Steel Micro in the first place. But foregoing my personal preferences, this Calvin Klein underwear are exactly what you would expect from this old fashion style underwear. When I first took them out of the package, they were a bit big. However, they shrunk up after washing, and they are true to size after being washed. They do offer plenty of stretch, so that if they fit before washing, they will stretch back out so that they will still fit after being washed. They do feel properly snug after first putting them on after being laundered. However, after wearing them on for several hours, they do feel a little bit big so I would advise to go with the smaller size if you are between sizes. The material on this underwear is very soft and a nice breathable cotton. The waist band, as others have mentioned, is a little bit rough and I would imagine that it may get uncomfortable after wearing them all day. Depending on what you are used to, the waistband may not be that bad. However, the Calvin Klein Steel Micro underwear waistband is wide and silky, smooth and that is pretty much what I have to compare this to. But again, Steel Micro has gotten very expensive. The bottom line for me is that they are not going to be my 1st choice, but I will wear them if I have no other clean underwear before laundry day. Back in the old days of the Fruit brand of tighty-whities, the underwear used to stretch out quite a bit after several months and the leg openings would stretch out and the crotch would get too loose – yeah, not good. Although unlikely, if that begins to happen with this Calvin Klein underwear, I will update this review. All in all, these are exactly what you would expect from this style underwear, except for the rough waist band.

Purchased these for years and they were great but the recent changes in material and elastic are for the worse. The elastic is shot after just a few washings. The waist band is like recycled old bicycle tubes. The leg elastic wears out in just a few washings. The edges of the waistband are very sharp and will cut you if not careful. The material is not soft - kind of like old rayon and flays easily. Too bad - these were great for years but the cost cutters have come to Calvin Klein underwear.

Looks brand new, not a return which is very important to me. Would buy again.
