Great deal - not many vendors provide this in such a great small package in the name brand quality ink. This is the ink you want to get. Ive had bad experience with third parties leaking in my Epson R1800 wide photo printer, and learned my lesson. I personally only buy brand ink these days, although I have heard good things about some others. As a photographer, printing out photo quality results that last needs, well requires, good ink on a good printer. The Canon ink satisfies that criteria, especially paired with a Pixma Pro-100. Simple packaging I open the box, peel back the orange cover, unwrap the ink cartridge, and insert and printing starts. No problems with all 8 I got in this box. Watching the price to order my next set. No scissors, pliers, or screwdrivers needed to open up plastic wrapped items. We all get the joke - you spend much more in ink in a year than you do on the actual printer itself. Please watch the price in your cart - sometimes it drops a bit in price, sometimes it hangs around $125.

These cartridges did not come in the typical Canon packages. Each ink was in a separate plastic bag. I figured they must be ok since they were not advertised as anything but the genuine product, but as soon as I started using them my print head gummed up and nowI can get it to print right. It started with the pink color not printing. I had a friend help me clean it out and that worked for about a week, then it stopped again. Now the yellow is not working. Further the machine says it has run out of the color even when the cartridge is full and Ive just inserted it. DO NOT BUY INK FROM THIS SELLER. IT WILL RUIN YOUR PRINT HEAD!

Very good. Yes, super expensive. No doesnt last all that long. Yes, you need to replace frequently, But does make really nice art prints. For a fortune. So if you think it will be cheaper to make art by printing it, rather than buying expensive oil paints--It wont be cheaper. But these inks are promised to last nearly as long, for whatever that is worth. They ARE nice on matte paper. (But nothing, of course, comes close to an actual oil painting!)

It makes me not want to use this printer its so expensive.

Ink works fine but cartridges have little ink in them, despite their ridiculous cost. Over $100 for a set of half filled OEM ink cartridges boggles my mind. Likely costs Canon less than $2 to make. But if you are into photography where color accuracy is critical, this is your only option. 3rd party cartridges are only good for banners and things where 100% color accuracy is required. Recommended, if you can afford the ink. Otherwise, get the printer color profile from your local Costco or Walmart. Imbed their profile in your files and give them your edited files to print. Generally do a great job at a fraction of the cost of printing at home with a canon inkjet color printer.
