I have learned the hard way that buying non-OEM replacements are often not worth the perceived monetary savings. I had such a print cartridge in my Canon printer that not only had a very short ink life, but also resulted in what appeared to be a serious printer malfunction. I was about to replace my printer when I called Canon and it was recommended that I try a Canon cartridge. I did--and problem solved! No more non-OEMs for me!

I was careful to make sure I ordered the right item.

The plastic packaging around the cartridge was compromised meaning that when I opened it ink spilled everywhere, covered my hands, and damaged my carpet. Ink is expensive enough as it is nevermind half of it ending up on the floor.

Fake ink!!!
