When I opened the box it was wet inside. Yuck!

These are a good set to start with for impact tool sockets. I recently have been experiencing difficulties of older age that makes using hand tools more difficult. So I invested in a pneumatic ratchet- but they recommended in using impact sockets ( which is standard for using any impact or pneumatic tool). So after searching and comparing I decided on this. First, the case is pretty sturdy and holds the sockets well. I put it in the back of my Jeep and let it roll around for a week and not one socket was loose from its spot. The sockets themselves looked good. The finish looks good and consistent. The Steel that is used to make these is very good and long lasting- based on my previous experience in steel manufacturing. Was able to read the size markings without needing to use my reading glasses. Placing them on a wrench is some trial and error until I figured out the hole had to be on the same time as the ball detent on the ratchet. Was able to use a torque wrench on them without any problems. Was able to ( test) the torque by using my max torque on my wrench and found no damage to the socket. I would recommend getting these.

I really dislike that you have to line up the ball detent with the hole in the socket. If you don’t line up the ball detent on the socket you will end up dropping the socket. I should have expected something like this for the price of this kit. I’m somewhat happy which my product because of the price and how many sockets you get. Update: they have held up very good. The lettering on them hasnt faded. I have been using them everyday in a professional setting for about 1 year. The sockets seem to be staying on better with out lining up the ball detent. I have updated the rating to a 4 star I would recommend this product.

These tools met and exeed my expectations. I also like that I can grab the case and go to work. It makes organization very easy. I will buy more tools from Capri tools in the near future.

Great set in a very sturdy carry case. Plenty of extensions and adapters to get the job done the first time.

I am a heavy duty mechanic and literally work out of this case on a daily basis. The quality and design rivals Matco ADV but at half the price. The stepped deepwell necks allow u to get small nuts and nuts in tight quarters where short wells wont reach. The extensions and adapters akliw you to use 1/4 or even 1/2 inch with this set. DEFINATELY recommend this kit. Great for the weekend mechanic or the professional mechanic
