Can dust and within a day super dusty again. Bought this and have it running it has just about eliminated the dust. Dont have to dust for atleast a couple days now in between rather then every day

So, let me start with a little background. I have 2 dogs and 2 cats at home. The dogs track in a lot of dust from being outside and we have 2 litter boxes constantly in use. So my air purifier is constantly working. Anyway, i ordered this 4-pack to replace the single black filter that came in the original. These ones were definitely thicker and the size was *almost* the same. These were about a centimeter too long. However, i used regular scissors and then they were perfect. They seem to be working just like the original. It still sucks in the odors, fur, and dust like the original. It already has a tan color on it because of all the dust and its only been a few days. (yuck!) Overall, this is a great deal and just needs a minor and simple modification. I dont think spending 3x more for the other filters would have been worth it. Overall, Id recommend.

These were supposed to come with the other part of the filter for the air purifier!! I even asked if thats all i needed and I was told yes!!! The box part that the black filter is supposed to go on you never said i needed that as well!!! Now I have these black filters but the box part is missing!!! Thats not right at all!!!

Right - These are JUST the carbon pre-filters, and they fit perfectly with my 4800 series, come in a neat little resealable plastic bag and cost about a dollar or so less than the other inexpensive ones. The reason I keep purchasing these is that they work - and they fit, and they dont smell weird or do any of the other things some reviewers say other brands/types do. We have both the 5000 Pet Series and the 4800 series, they are different sizes, so make sure to purchase the filters that fit your specific unit, but Ive now purchased these a few times and I have yet to be let down. Theyre even actually nicer than the original GermGuardian pre-filter. Yay!

I have two of the Pure Guardian AC4825 Purifiers and change the carbon filters in them about once every 3 months. This 4 pack is perfect and fits without any problems or cutting. The price is also a lot better than buying the Pure Guardian ones.

I bought these to replace the outer charcoal pre-filter for the GermGuardian AC4825. The filter is cut to the exact size and it sticks very well to the velcro. The material is at least twice as dense as the original filter so will definitely help to filter out more large particles. However, I do worry that the density of the material will put extra strain on the fan motor. I guess Ill find out. I recently purchased a replacement HEPA filter for my GermGuardian and didnt realize that it also came with a carbon activated pre-filter, so I also ordered this 4 pack. The quality is the same as the one that came with the GermGuardian branded HEPA filter, although the sizing was a bit different. I do not think I would have a problem fitting this into the GermGuardian, but they are also easily altered simply by cutting them with a scissors. As I had 4 more carbon filters than I needed for a while, I used two of them for another separate air conditioner; I cut the filters to fit and inserted them behind the mesh filter in front of the rear air intake, effectively adding an additional filter where there was none from the factory. As the air conditioner runs 24/7 in the summer, I now had the added benefit of extra air/odor filtration, and the room smelled noticeably crisper. These filters will work for your GermGuardian and are a good value, but be aware they can also be reconfigured for other applications where you might need a carbon filter. I even saw a picture on a website of someone who had attached them to the rear of an oscillating fan to help with filtration! Excellent for multipurpose use.

I like the way that it captures all the dust in the air. Works well with my Germ Guardian air filter. I dont notice the air being fresher though. With the way the carbon should work. Overall happy with this filter cartridge. Would buy again.

These carbon filters came in a 4 pack for the GermGuardian FLT4825. HEPA Filter will last alot longer when using these prefilters. Excellent fit, and arrived quickly. Thank you Amazon seller for great service!
