> 24 hourMy husband bad been wanting some of these ever since we bought our jet skis a few years ago. We have had them on our jet skis and have used them all summer. They work great. Easy to install and no more messing with a pile of tangled ratchet straps.

> 24 hourStrong and easy to use. I had my UTV unloaded in seconds while my friends were still struggling with their tie-down straps. At the end of our day I was able to help them get loaded because I was done. Worth every penny!!

> 24 hourI just can’t trust these straps. They have now popped themselves loose so many times I lost count. They seem locked tight, then you hit a bump and they pop open. The distance between locked and released is a eighth of an inch, and they just don’t stay latched. Now I’ve lost 2 loads in the middle of the road because of it, and the last one caused $4k in damage to my truck. If you value your load, your vehicle, and others’ lives, don’t buy these.

> 24 hourI bought these to tie down my side by side. I attached them to four corners of the trailer. Every time I use them, I wonder why it took so long for someone to figure a better way. Getting the straps out of the way is a real luxury. I could not be more pleased with the retractable feature.

> 24 hourWhen they are new, they totally live up to your expectations. I have them on an aluminum motorcycle trailer that is often used numerous times a week, and they make cinching down bikes a simple task. I love these things! (when new anyway). Whenever I go pick up a bike, people are always amazed with how well these straps work along with a Condor wheel chock. Know that if your trailer is kept outside, they will not last forever. They will look old in no time and you will need to keep them lubricated to keep them working properly. My only real issue is that for the price, it seems like they should last longer, especially cosmetically. My trailer is stored under a roof well out of the rain, but it still gets a some sun certain times of the year. The Orange material on the levers start looking well used after only a few weeks and will look neglected, faded and old in 6 months. After a couple years the plastic on some the levers will start actually falling apart. I have had the the retraction spring fail on a couple of them, one at about a year, the other at about two. When they failed it isnt like they left me stranded. They still worked, I just had to manually ratchet them in and they would no longer tighten automatically. Understanding how they work, Im not surprised that the little springs sometimes fail and Im actually somewhat OK with that. Its an acceptable trade off for the convenience when compared to conventional straps. I have a couple of these that are nearly 4 years old and still working, but they will probably replaced soon for cosmetic reasons if nothing else. I will definitely keep buying more in the future, but I really wish they stayed fresh looking longer. UPDATE: I just had my two oldest straps experience total mechanical failure (on the same day no less) at about 5 1/2 years old. So I guess, in my environment anyway, 5-6 years is the maximum life expectancy. Note that failing meant one ratchet would not tighten and one ratchet would not loosen. Neither endangered the load by coming loose after tightening, but it wasnt exactly the most confidence inspiring thing either. Is 5 1/2 years good? For me its not great, but hey, I just ordered 4 new replacements, so I guess I will stand by with my original assessment.

> 24 hourThese straps are the only way to go. 10x better than regular ratchet straps. Trust me, you will never own a different tie down strap again.

> 24 hourI too was so happy to find these very convienent tie down straps for my small boat. Unfortunately the attachment point on the trailer was below the waterline when I put the trailer in the water. The spring steel housing for the retracting mechanism has no weep hole to release any water that may accumulate during the launching. This resulted in rust which after three months broke the spring steel and no longer do the straps retract. The unit still operates as a tiedown however to retract the straps they now must be ratcheted back into the body. Bother.
