Carhartt Legacy Tool Roll, Grey

Purchased this hoping the straps would be long enough to attach the roll to my front rack with the huge kryptonite NY chain inside. (Man that thing is heavy!) Anyways, forget the cheaper ones, I tried two. Neither were thick/padded to protect the paint on your bike and one came un-sewed quickly. This is worth the higher price being built much better and sturdier.

Fits all the basic tools I need for my truck for trail repairs. It’s been floating around in the back passenger area for a few months and looks like the day it was first filled with tools.

Its well made, and will hold up forever, but if you want to store/carry only handled tools in it, it falls a bit short in a few ways. every pocket in this tool roll holds a wood carving chisel. it rolls up, and buckles, but if it was just a bit wider, everything would fit well. also the buckle placement kind of wants to squeeze the tools out as it lands at the base of/on the taper of the handles. so if it was two inches wider, and had flaps to cover the handles, it would be secure as a bank vault, but as it is, Im also a bit concerned about one of my tools sliding out of it, and it takes more time than id like to try to equalize the handle sizes on both sides to try to prevent tools being squeezed out. if you filled it up with box wrenches it would be super secure.

Love tool rolls, and Carhartt so this thing was set up for success. Not the best tool roll Ive ever owned, but good stitching and very attractive. I wish there were multiple configurations, but its perfect for a wrench set, so when in Rome, carry a Carhartt tool roll with wrenches. Likely wouldnt work for knives. But for files, or maybe range tools. Its real Carhartt canvas, so it should hold up to really any abuse you throw at it.

Great organizer for repetitive jobs. Holds tools right. Lays flat and holds tools well. Buckles up nicely and is easy to carry.

I bought this tool roll for my daughter to use with her set of carving chisels. She loves it and has mentioned the quality of the roll many times.

My go to tool bag
