Caron Simply Soft is terrific yarn for baby, toddler, and childrens clothing and blankets, as it can be machine washed and dried. Also very good for crocheting caps for cancer patients because it is very soft. The bulk package is a terrific deal, especially if you are a Prime member. The yarn still sometimes split, but that is not a big deal.

Great! I cant buy it where I live.

Got this today. Started knitting a baby blanket right away. I was a little worried by bad reviews, but no major problems. A little splitting, but that happens with most 4-ply yarns. This yarn pulls out from the middle of the skein, and one of three skeins had a tangle right away. Thats why I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars. But rather than panicking and tugging on it, I dug into the skein with my fingers until I felt the tangle. I gently pulled out the whole tangle. So the tangle was still fairly loose. I was able to untangle it easily and quickly. This yarn is soft and has a pretty sheen. I dont have quite enough for my project, but leftover yarn from five years ago actually matches almost perfectly. My blanket has two strands knitted together so one strand from the old stash and one from the new camouflages this very minor color difference. Sure this yarn is cheaper at the local store, but only in a few colors, not the one I wanted. Ill definitely order from Amazon again.

this brand of yar is and always be my favorite but the prices in Amazon are really crazy. How ever when I see a sale for less that 3 dollars the yarns I will buy it!

I love working with this yarn, especially when making baby items.

I needed this year and for a project. Was not able to find the color locally. Was so grateful that I could find this yarn online in bulk. Now I can finish my project!

Not quite the color I was looking for or the type of yarn I was expecting. When I bought this brand from the actual store, the yarn was thinner and shinier. It is soft and I guess I’ll find a use for it somehow. It’s not the fault of the seller that it’s not what I wanted or expected.
