Heavy duty love it!

These great casters are a replacement for a set from Amazon that had one dimple in all the tires from the flashing being sanded too deep. It made my cart rumble and bump when pushed. These casters are less expensive and much better. The tires are perfectly true (no dimples), roll and swivel easily. The locking pedal is easy to engage and disengage. I am very pleased with this set. Besides that they even look more cool than the others! Update: Most of the above is true except for the compressibility of the tires. After sitting a while with much less than 250lb. per caster they do get a small flat that will bump as you roll them. It isnt horrible but noticable. They may recover but will get a new depression when left in one place for a while.

Although these are getting glowing reviews, I regard them as a value caster. Most of the build is typical mass-market. Stamped steel. Integrated raceways with loose bearings. Bearings open to the environment. Theres a slight tilt to the races. Im unsure whether thats intentional or not, as its consistent between casters. In any event, it doesnt seem to affect functionality at all. The issue I have with these casters is that they dont lock the swivel up solidly. They use a coarse-toothed, wheel shaped stamping for the lock, and it leaves a bit of play. The bearings are loose enough to add a bit of their own additional play. The POINT of double locking casters is to avoid that play! Granted, they wont actually swivel when locked, but youll still get a bit of wobble. Whether or not thats acceptable depends on the need. For critical use, look elsewhere. They will be OK for uses like carts. They will not be for my intended use. As a basic locking caster set, though, these are a good bet. The lock engages and disengages easily. The wheels seem to be good quality. A very complete set of install hardware is included, which is unusual. A good mid-grade caster at an excellent price.
