Just the right size. If it was any larger it would be a nescience to my cats feet. It is just the right size. I ended up ordering a 2 Nd one because we have two fountains. Great purchase. Love the Catit family of products.

I have the fountain and my cat loves it. I wanted to buy this mat but the fact that you cannot buy any additional/replacement dishes makes it impractical. I feed my cats dry food each morning and wet food at night. I would like the option to purchase 2 to swap out while the other dish is cleaned in dishwasher. I have more than one cat and was planning on getting 2 mats, 2 fountains and 4 dishes. But you cannot buy dishes without buying additional stands.....

Saw this tray in someone else’s Amazon review for the water fountain (which I’ve had for several years) and thought what a practical way to anchor a food dish. The fountain has never leaked but the cat likes to bat his food around for his own personal amusement and my perpetual annoyance. Securing the bowl wont stop the playing with his food, but at least his bowl, and stray food, will be contained to a reasonable area. I once read that a cat’s food and water should be separated but he doesn’t seem to mind this new arrangement. The tray has a solid feel, cleans easily and has no discernible smell. The stainless steel bowl was included and has nice low sides to protect his whiskers.

The price is pretty expensive but it serves its purpose.
