Central Air Conditioner Cover for Outside Units 36 x 36 - Top Universal Outdoor AC Cover Defender (Mesh, 36 x 36)

Just installed this 36 x 36 mesh cover on my day-old Trane XR 16 (37 x 37) condenser unit and the 1-inch difference did not seem to matter as the fan opening is fully covered. My A/C Technician highly suggested I only use a mesh, top only cover as he said it keeps out the leaves and debris, and does not provide the haven for rodents that a full cover would. He also said the mesh would not damage the unit like a solid cover would if accidentally turned on in the Spring without removing. As you can see by the photo this was a Winter install and the frozen-to-the ground leaves are proof a cover is needed for us. Only downside, which did not factor into my ratings at all, was that two of the rubber caps on the bungee cord hooks popped off during the simple install and fell into the frozen leaf abyss below. Ill have to figure a way to replace them .. someday when my fingers thaw. And yes, those leaves will all be cleaned and gone before the Technician comes back to fire it up for the first time and complete all of the testing in the Spring (dont really worry too much about what you readers think, but my wife might be seeing this!)

I was so pleased to see that a product like this exists! Last year I had a very unfortunate situation with a baby bird that fell out of the nest into the AC unit. (I have no idea how he got through the grate…He must’ve been absolutely tiny. Needless to say he didn’t make it.) Anyway, mama decided to build a nest right above the AC again anyway this year so I needed to think fast! Fortunately there was next day delivery because I saw babies up in the nest probably just a few days away from trying their wings. As soon as it arrived on my doorstep I put it on and I feel so much better now! (Great product by the way… Went on very easily and the 32 inch was a nice fit for my 28 inch unit. I think the 28 inch would have worked but this gave a little extra room down the side.)

These install so easy and keep the crud out of your AC. Highly recomend.

The measurements of the outdoor pump is 26x26 and I ordered the 32x32 and it fits perfectly just in time to catch all the fallen leaves

I was wanting something to keep pine needles and leaves out and this works great. I have to use a longer bungee cord for one corner due to design but all good. I am glad it doesnt mess with the equipment venting. Excellent for what I needed.

First I took measurements of my new air conditioning unit, put my order in, received it the next day. And this is a perfect product. Didnt take long to install it, the bungee cords are included. I love it.

This cover is perfect for protecting your AC during the winter. Moreover, if someone accidentally turns on AC it will not burn-up the motor from overheating. This cover has a breathable screen. Very important!
