These are absolutely the plug adaptors (M) you need for South Africa. The adaptor has 2 USB ports to charge your devices, as well as a standard USA plug. We also bought the set of 3 universal to M plugs. We had purchased a 220 hairdryer and flatiron in Europe, and the universal adaptor allows us to plug in these 220 appliances without having to use a transformer.

Used this on a work trip to Paris. It worked perfectly as intended! The two USB ports on the top were awesome because I could have one thing charging through the normal port and still charge my phone and tablet through the USB ports on the top. Ill definitely keep this handy for the next time I travel to France.

Worked perfectly

I used this product in South Africa and Namibia and the converter worked like a charm. The problem is the USB ports are cheap and useless. After using one port 2 nights, when I pulled the plug out (the regular way without force) all the innards from the plug came with it. I bought this item specifically so I could charge more than one thing at once despite the additional bulk it added. Should have just purchased converter and saved extra money and space.
