I have not had to clean my tank since I got these -- I put them all over the bottom of the talk as well as in the recirculation, along with purigen. My tank was an algae fest and no more. Its been weeks of crystal clear water. I love it as media for the bottom of tank too cause you just push them around a little and any food or poop in there just moves up to the filter. And my fish like swimming down between the balls to look for food.

Just put the spheres in a Marineland 360 canister filter that is servicing a 55 gallon anemone tank Displaced 50% of the ceramic rings in order to prevent a mini cycle. Left bio balls in place. Also left the carbon in place. 1 box is more than enough for a filter thay size. Leftovers were dumped into the sump on another tank for conditioning. Will put those in the marineland 360 displacing the reminder of the ceramic rings. Heard great things about the product, but the jury wont be in for about 4 to 6 weeks on its effectiveness. If it works, next up is the 150 gallon mixed reef with large puffers. Will use the block in the wet dry sump and another box of the spheres in a marineland 530. 1 box should be enough in the canister filter.

Replaced the bioballs that came with my SeaClear system 2 tank with these. Fantastic product with much better bacteria growing capacity. Help keeps water parameters extremely stable. Have a reef tank and have been able to push water changes back to every three instead of every two weeks with no degradation in water quality.

Great stuff for the aquarium, makes a difference in the water quality. Got one star taking off for the damaged packaging and a couple are crushed inside. Not a big deal since i needed the filters and it did help clearer the water and increase quality inside.
