Smooth metal, sharp pointy needles. The wire is smoothly connected to the needles, no catching of stitches on the knitting project. Can recommend!

These are the best knitting needles ever. The 16 inch is perfect for making hats in the round. These are the only needles I want to use now.

Chiao goo lace needles are the best for all types of yarn. The cables are not stiff and the joins are smooth.

This is fine for about 50 stitches of worsted but fewer than that is tight to knit in the round. I have used it for little kids hats but not for preemie hats unless you have a pattern that you knit sideways.

Coming from using the circular needles with the plastic type cabling, this is the Cadillac of needles! There may be other more expensive ones that are even better, but for the price this needle is awesome!! The stitches glide effortlessly over the intersection of needle and cable. The cable absolutely has no memory if you bend it and I love the fact that it is coated metal for durability. Overall, I would definitely recommend this product!!
