CHIAOGOO Red Ribbon Double Point Stainless Steel Knitting Needle Set, 6-Inch

Sharp, smooth, compact. I love these needles. I love the little case, it is so portable and is a good quality piece. You can never have too many sock needles! I used to be an Addi Turbo fan, but these needles have a much better point, like the Addi lace tip- on all their needles.

I have and love the ChiaoGoo interchangeable circular needles, so when I needed a set of sock-knitting DPNs it was a no-brainer to try these. Theyre absolutely as good as the circulars, and my go-to DPNs. The points are sharp enough to make picking up stitches easy but not so sharp that theyre constantly splitting the yarn, and the very slight texture on the metal body gives just enough resistance that the stitches dont slip off. Plus, the case is much sturdier than the plastic pockets my other DPN sets came in, and comes with a needle size guide/ruler and stitch markers.

These are really nice double point needles! I love the case- it is so well made. Each needle size has a well marked pocket that they fit in. The markers are pretty too.

I purchased this set so that I would have all the needles I needed for some planned holiday projects. Ive very happy with these. I generally dont use DPNs because I find them too fiddly but on my first try out with these I found they were comfortable in my hands and the yarn didnt slide off too easily - there is just enough grip. I cant use bamboo needles because I am allergic/sensitive and these are a great alternative. A bit more than I expected to spend, but I am hopeful they will be a mainstay in my craft bag.

As always, Chiaogoo are my choice. I like they way they feel, I like the way they fit my hand. If you want easy slide needles, these are a great choice. If you prefer some grab, these are not for you
