ChiaoGoo Twist Stainless Steel Interchangeable Set, 4-inch (10cm) Complete (7400-C)

These knitting needles are a pleasure to knit with because the cord doesnt twist into knots and get in the way of the work. I also love the metal and the muted clicking sounds they make while I knit. I have a wood interchangeable set and there is no noise and I miss it. I was amazed at how smooth these knitting needles are and how they are not so very slippery that the project slides off. This set was the priciest of the bunch but there were more needle sizes included and the ease of using the memory-free cords is priceless. The tips are sharp enough to go under the stitch without splitting the yarn. I also really appreciate the ability to insert a life-line through the key tightening hole so it automatically threads through the stitches in my row as I knit.

I have wanted an interchangeable knitting needle set for a long, long time. There are so many, how could I choose?

The pandemic prompted me to deep dive into knitting. To avoid amassing a huge collection of needles, I invested in this set and Im so glad I did!! Its minimalist, compact, and so far has had everything I need! When DPNs are required for small circumferences, I can use the Magic Loop method with this set. I havent tried other brands of interchangeable knitting needles but Ive been really happy with this set so far. A few things to point out that Ive noticed:

Ive knitted with the permanently-attached cables and loved them so I decided to try this set. Wonderful! The stainless steel needles are smooth and great but the cables are what set this company apart from all of the others that Ive tried: they are constructed of multi-strand steel encased in red nylon; they have no memory so they dont curl and inhibit your knitting movements. With these needles I can concentrate on the item Im creating rather than fighting with the cable.
