> 3 dayI have been a huge fan of ChiaoGoo needles since I started using them and I love them more so than any other brand. More importantly to me, they have fantastic points, sharp and glide smoothly no matter the yarn fiber content. I have not needed to use the lifeline feature yet but likely will as time goes on. Its important though that you tighten your tips down with the provided tools to do so with any interchangeable set, this one is no different. As long as you tighten them down properly they will not loosen up on you as youre knitting causing a big mess and headache. I have ordered extra cables and 4 tips to add to my set and all the replacement cables come with an extra cable key as well, big bonus, not having to order more, I have plenty now since I bought 4 extra cables to add to my set. You wont go wrong with this set, its worth the price!

> 3 dayI’m more old school, meaning I actually like wood knitting needles. However, in my recent dive into knitting socks, I found a need to use knitting needles that allowed me to perform magic loop, provide sharp tips, and longer tapers. I chose to purchase HiyaHiya sock set and it met my need exceedingly. Since using the metal (surgical stainless steel) and starting projects with finger weight yarn (no-sock knitting), I decided to purchase the ChiaoGoo 5” complete set. I’m very glad I did. One particular project, a cowl with Irish lace components, was proving particularly tricky with my wood Interchangeables and my dpns. The ChiaoGoos have made knitting that project much easier and thus more enjoyable. The brushed surgical stainless steel provides excellent joins, sharp tips (not as sharp as the HiyaHiyas, which are very sharp), long tapered tips, and cable that is memory free and just in the right lengths. The metal immediately warms in my hands and doesn’t seem to irritate my arthritis and my depuytrens contracture. Working stitches is surprisingly enjoyable. It took a bit to get used to them. They are very smooth needles and thus a bit slippery. The longer taper took a bit to get use to, too, as it required longer casting. They require in my opinion better tension control and a bit more focus, at least at first. For that reason I probably wouldn’t recommend them to a beginner. But I would highly recommend them to an intermediate knitter looking to expand their knowledge and knitting challenges. As an additional note, I also added the ChiaoGoo mini set which nests in with the 5” complete set very easily without requiring more room in my knitting bag. The 5” set is quite compact and comes with all the necessities to get started except yarn. Again, highly recommended!

> 3 dayAnd I should know. Ive tried several kinds! These are sharp and have good joins--no snagging. I also love that there is a large set and a small set with cords for each. Definitely glad I bought them!

> 3 day5⭐️S for the seller & the knit ability factor with properly manufactured ChiaoGoo needles! ZERO ⭐️s for the particular set I ended up with. As soon as these arrived, I checked every single needle, with each end,of every single cord designed for the size of the needle. Only 2 of the 26 needle tips have a smooth join. On the (S)mall needle tip side (using the 3 cables designed to fit the small tips) only 1 tip, a US7(4.5mm), has a smooth join to a cable. Out of the 3 (S)mall cables, only 1 end of the 14 was smooth with the US7 tip only. Neither end of the 22 cable was smooth with any of the needle tips. And only 1 end of the 30 cable was smooth with the US7 tip only. On the (L)arge needle tip side (using the 3 cables designed to fit the large tips) only 1 tip, a US13(9.0mm), has a smooth join to a cable. Out of the 3 (L)arge cables, neither end of the 14 had a smooth join to any of the large tips, neither end of the 22 had a smooth join to any of the large tips, and BOTH ends of the 30 had a smooth join to one of the US13(9.0mm) needle tip only. So out of 26 needle tips & 6 cables I only ended up with ONE US7(4.5mm) needle tip, ONE US13(9.0mm) needle tip, and ONE 30 (L)arge cable. I cant even make one pair of needles that wont snag & drag ☹️
