We live in a high hail and wind area prone to regular winds around 15-20 mph. This cup is able to grip the wreath in the U part so that it isnt able to fall out unless the suction cup falls off the door.

I’ve been looking all over for something sturdy to hang my wreaths on since I got new storm doors and don’t want to use a wreath hanger anymore. I was originally going to give this one star because it fell down after only being up for a minute or so, but then I read what some of the other reviews said and followed the instructions. Turns out it was my fault it didnt stay up, not the hook. I originally just stuck it on the window without cleaning it, and I wanted it up high, so it was over a small ridge in the glass. That did not work. After I cleaned the window and moved it down a bit lower to a completely smooth surface, it has not budged. The wreath I have hanging now is fairly heavy as well, and we had a storm a few nights ago with high winds. The hook I was using before would have certainly come off. Not this one! Very happy with this purchase, and definitely recommend. Just dont be all willy nilly about putting it up, like I was. Follow the directions and you will be happy too.

These are not for heavy wreaths. At all.

The over the door hooks have been the bane of my existence. Doors won’t close, etc. purchased these to see how they’d hold up with a Christmas Wreath. Absolutely did not shift at all due to weight, weather, or door slamming. If your wife buys 10 lb wreaths or you’d like to hang something in a window, buy these. No marks, can handle weight & compact for storage

These work very well! I had 28 wreathes hung on windows in less than an hour. I used two for some of my larger/heavier wreathes. Non have fallen. Highly recommend!

I was impressed how well these suction cups worked holding up my large 30” lit Christmas wreath on my glass storm door. They never budged once despite changes in weather and the door opening and closing. I highly recommend these wreath hangers!
