Cichlid Lake Salt, 250 g / 8.8 oz

I keep African Cichlids and doing regular weekly water changes I keep my fish in water that is as close to their native environment as possible. This salt is an important part of my regimen.

Great to know this product is available to keep my African Cichlids happy and comfortable in tank. So far it has not bothered them negatively so it’s safe. Prefer this over Aquarium salt now that I am aware of this. Don’t think it has the healing properties of aquarium salt but it makes water to there natural environment. So they are happier.

I would give this 5 stars, but no matter how much I mix it, there are white bits it leaves. I can shake it stir it, and so on, and it has white chunks. Other than that it seems to work great. Just dont dump it in the tank. Mix well 1st.

Seachem cichlid lake salt is a great way to help mimic the conditions your fish would be in if they were in their natural habitat, this leads to healthy and happier fish. Only suggestion for this product would be to add a measure spoon inside or produce a lid like your seachem prime that can be used to measure the product.

Great buffer for AC tank

This product does what it says on the bottle, which is to replicate the water conditions of Lake Malawi and other rift lakes in Africa. This product is for African Cichlids who like their water hard. I only add sparingly when doing a water change. I use no other salt in my tank except this product!

Cant go wrong for african cichlids. This is a great product.

Great product, I have been using it for many years, have not lost a fish yet due to water problems.

The cichlid lake salt helps stabilize the water condition to insure the health of the fish.
