Personally I like the Aloe gel better and buying it from Amazon is way more expensive then going to a Department store but the product works well enough.

I started using when I was 18. This year marks 40 years using this product. Highly Recommend.

I know there are those out there who swear by this product. These are probaly the same people who have never tried Taylors of old Bond street, Ingram shave cream etc. These same ones probaly didnt start shaving until they were over twenty-five and do not have a rough beard. Clinque isnt junk but it sure isnt a great shave cream either. What Clinique is, is over priced mediocre glycerin soap with little to no lather. It may be great for some but no thanks.

It comes out as a cream and not foam. I use about a 50 cent coin amount of it and it does the job well and skin remains moist and smooth. That is especially helpful when one shaves and shower at the same time.

Been using this product for years. Gives a clean smooth shave. I am allergic to a base product used in most perfumes. This does not contain perfumes and is one of the best shave products for being non-allergenic.

I have been addicted to Clinique Cream Shave since I found it back in NYC, maybe 25 years ago. If you try it for a week or so to get used to it, you will realize what junk the pressurized foam stuff is - Edge gel or Gillette Foam - whatever. All that matters is the layer that is touching your skin. So why apply some air filled whipped cream? The Clinique is a better tool for the job - it helps the blade slide rather than rip. It is both expensive and a pain to find sometimes - so I will try other stuff. (Billy Jealousy is good. So is Jack Black - but they are both MORE expensive than Clinique). But I always go back to this. The trick is just get your face wet, then spread a thin layer (a schmear if youre from NYC). It really doesnt take much. The razor glides, doesnt bump and pull and the cream has an antiseptic feel and smell when you are finished that makes your face feel like it hasnt been hacked to pieces. A tube lasts a long time. I will go out to whatever department store has it in stock - you have to go into the cosmetics section - and buy 6 tubes at a time. I will also cut the tube apart when it gets down to the dregs because I am cheap and you can get another week out of it. I have tried and been unimpressed with the Clinique post shave stuff. The aloe stuff isnt bad - but it really isnt much different from any hand/face cream. I use Lubriderm because 1) it is on the sink anyway since my wife uses it, 2) it has sunblock in it and 3) it doesnt cost a whole lot. There. Now I am a metrosexual. Or at least I play one on Amazon.

Not good for use with my electric shaver (Philips Norelco 9000): Does not have enough lubricants for a smooth glide of the electric razor. Perhaps for straight razors will be very good, but not to be used with electric shavers. Switched to Loccitane CADE shaving cream and very happy. The Norelco razor glides with breeze and the cream is one of the best that man can get.
