Clover Chibi with Jumbo darning Needle Set, 6.2 Height x 2.1 Length x 0.8 Width, Multicolor

The darning needles are perfect for weaving in the ends of the yarn in crochet projects (I saw them on a video tutorial on Granny Squares, by a lady known as Iknitwithcatfur). They slide through many loops as easily as a laser beam might. My yarn store doesnt carry them but after wrestling with plastic yarn needles and more common types of metal ones, I decided to risk the $5 and try these. I thought I didnt particularly want the case but its very nice and sooo convenient. The sturdy screw top opens easily with one hand and I havent lost a needle since I got the set. It would hold many more needles so with luck Ill never need to buy another one. Some Amazon crochet supplies are more expensive than my local stores, some much less. I suspect these are a good deal at AMZ, because I paid almost as much to the yarn store for two rotten nasty plastic needles, but it wouldnt hurt to make a note of the Amazon price and compare...

I like the shape of these, however, they dont seem to be 100% metal, some sort of a harder plastic? Not sure...but, they do work, and gets the job done...

These make quick work of weaving in ends of bulky and superbulky yarn and come in a tube that will slot conveniently alongside the rest of your knitting storage. The smaller size set from the same line is also very useful for smaller yarns.

Theyre ok, nice color. Didnt feel plastic but isnt magnetic. Disappointed that theyre not magnetic.

Upon opening these needles I was shocked at how light they were-so much so that if they werent cool to the touch, I would have sworn they were plastic. Considering that I just bought a pair of comparable metal darning needles for $0.99 at Michaels last week which are heavier and feel sturdier than these needles, Im pretty disappointed. For $6.50 ($3.25 per needle!) youd think they could come up with something that at least feels solid. Well see how these hold up, but Im not exactly hopeful. The one plus is the carrying case - very nice to have. But I already have a carrying case so that wasnt exactly a selling point for me. Oh well.

I have over 4 of these little sets of darning needles and cases and just recently gave one to a friend whom I just taught to knit and she loves hers too !! Wonderful items ... Ive been using mine for years ... you can never have too many of them !!
