Clover Takumi Bamboo Circular 48-Inch Knitting Needles, Size 8

Bought this for my daughter who knits blankets. She seems to really enjoy this needle. She says it makes knitting larger blankets so much easier.

Always meets expectations with this brand of needles.

Just what I expected.

So let me begin by saying I have many covert bamboo needles and I love them! Great, flexible cable and nice warm wood needles with fairly sharp tips.

The cord separated from the needle on the first project I used them for in the midst of knitting a shawl. I got all the stitches picked up and transferred to another set of needles (different brand), but it was a heart-stopping experience.. I wont buy this brand again.

I love all the Takumi knitting needles (except for the very small ones) because they are free of metal. I really dislike the feeling of metal on my skin, and the takumi line dont have any (again except for the very small ones, 2.75 mm and below). I also like that they are bamboo, not only because it is a renewable material and therefor environmentally conscious, but also because I like that the stitches dont slide as easily as on metal or acrylic needles so I dont have to worry about dropped stitches nearly as much! Occasionally, I have been unhappy with the ones I got from smaller third party sellers, because they were the older versions of this knitting needle - with more blunted tips, and in a thick plastic package with no paper insert. But for the most part, ordering these off Amazon has been great.

Just what I wanted.

I started out using metal needles, because thats what was available at my local crafts store. But now that my skills have improved, I upgraded to bamboo needles and I love them. I used this huge one for an afghan and it came out beautifully. And all my stitches werent crowded together, so it was easier to use than a shorter needle.

Great product! Comfortable to use.

Had previously used Clover needles before and liked them. Couldnt get these to lose their curly nature. Even tried the hot water method. Kept twisting my work. Complete waste of time and money. Returned to Amazon without a problem.
