I recently moved from Utah to Missouri. I have never experienced rain rot on any of my horses. After surviving the hottest, sauna like summer of my life, I noticed both of my horses had little sores all over their legs and one of them had some on her back. So I had to Google what it was. Funny thing before I moved this product keep showing up in my news feed on Facebook, so I had read up on it a little bit. When inrealized that it was rain rot, I already knew how to treat it. I bought this and it came within a couple days. I had run to a local store and bought some special shampoo that helped a tiny bit. As soon as this arrived, I put it on my horses. I didnt touch it for a couple days. During this time we did experience more rain. Their legs and back still stayed covered with the paste. On the third day I scraped off some over the sores and they were all dried out and looked really good. I did apply it one more time. In the meanwhile I did get the powder that is part of this line, so I applied it to their upper bodies. They seem to stay dryer. I think it helped so much. I will definitely use the powder on a regular basis. I will probably use the paste as needed or when its really wet outside and in the grass. I dont want to be without it again. It works really well. Im grateful I had read so much about it prior to my move. Its a life saver for my fur babies.

The product works well but it seems that the price has gone way up or the amount has decreased. It’s too expensive for the amount you get.

My barn has been using it to prevent rain rot and ease the spring summer sweet itch. Unlike shampoos and meds, it can be used daily with relative ease. It does not prevent or eliminate the issues but seems to help a bit.

When my horse wound up with the dreaded rain rot.. I spent a lot of time looking at different products and ultimately kept coming back to this. Ill share my experience with purchasing both the powder and the paste: 1. Most of the things I read recommended the paste to treat rain rot. What they left out? Rain rot in the fall when the winter coat is coming in. The paste will NOT do the trick. 2. I followed the directions for a week and saw no results. Was becoming frustrated until the barn owner told me to take the metal curry and get the scabs off and THEN put the powder on. Knock on wood.. but a couple months later and we are still rain rot free and hair has grown back over where the scabs were! The only downfall is the price. I would use this daily (and ultimately spend more), but the cost of this makes me cringe so its reserved for after wet weather only.

I love this stuff. It has a very slight mint smell and is the only thing that has worked on my old geldings skin allergies!! Its a must have!!!
