COBBLERS CHOICE CO. FINEST QUALITY All-Natural Leather Restorer Conditioner

My first time conditioning good boots (Scarpa Terra GTXs bought from Zappos). I chose Cobblers Choice brand after a lot of research. I didnt mind some darkening. Application was easy: unlace, apply with cloth, rub around for even distribution. Absorbs quickly. No perceivable smell. Then, brushed with Cobblers Choice horsehair brush. Easily covered scuffs. Photo taken immediately after brushing.

I use several different brand conditioners, cleaners and waterproofing sprays. This conditioner can be used on almost every leather except suede, Nubuck or rough out. It is wax based and oil based so it will darken the color of your leather a couple of shades. That said I did like it a lot, there is no weird smell it is easy to apply, it penetrates real well and pretty fast. The scuff covering is fair, it does make your leather water repellent not waterproof. Based on the characteristics of this conditioner I would use it on daily wear shoes, boots and leather goods. I would not use it much on work boots not that it is a bad product but for work boots I like stronger waterproofing qualities and I wouldn’t waste this good product on nasty dirty work boots. If you want to keep it safe and are bothered by Leather darkening a bit, use bick 4 a good safe product but it is a lighter conditioner and requires more frequent applications. If you are not bothered by the darkening of the leather and want a deep natural penetrating conditioner that works exceptionally well go for this one. By the looks of it I will keep it as my top conditioner for most of my footwear. I will try some of their other products.

The color of my dark brown boots did change a bit, but youll get this from any conditioner (I like the new color more anyway).

The leather conditioner was a little thinner than I was expecting but that didn’t affect the overall usefulness of it. It went on cleanly, and a little buffing to smooth it out, I may have applied it too heavy on first application. I bought this for my Thursday Boots but have used it on all of my leather shoes.

Leather on my Thursday Boot Company Boots were lightened after I treated them for creases. This refurbished the dark color of the leather and made them look like new. Used them on an old pair of boots as well.

It darkens the leather a little bit. But it does a good job of softening the leather and weather proofing it some too.

Works great and has minimal color change once dry
