The umbrella itself is a good quality that kept the sun off fairly well while at Seatte Pride, however, I am very disappointed that the handle is peeling after 1 use! It looks terrible and I getting handle flakes all over my hand.

All umbrellas should have color, this one has more than most. Black umbrellas are only good for one thing: outdoor funerals where it is rainy. I don’t think I’ll be attending any soon so this one is just the ticket to lift my spirits on a grey day.

This umbrella is FABULOUS!! I’m using it for a prop for an upcoming show im performing in the fall, and I couldn’t be more happy to show it off! :-)

The is a quality umbrella. Very sturdy--it has some heft to it. Disappointed that the product arrived damaged--the protective wrap around the top cap just isnt sufficient, the cap was removed and the top of the shaft was a little cracked. I glued it, and its OK, not enough to bother with returns.

Umbrella does NOT have a lock to keep it open. There is a spring which keeps it up but I fear that the thing will collapse under heavy wind. That has yet to be tested. Also, its quite heavy and will be difficult to hold for long periods. I was disappointed with it. It does look nice though.

Had it for a couple of years but used it just a handful of times, stored well, handled well. One rainy day I tried to close it and the ribs would not slide up the pole, no matter how I wiggled. I started pushing a bit harder and brrrrtt, the pole ripped right through the plastic mechanism and fabric cap at the top. Even now the ribs wont return to folded. I think the plastic parts at the top are at fault, and that the fabric was just not designed to ever be stressed right there. Ive had plenty of umbrellas that failed in the ribs, this is a new case for me. In any case Im out an umbrella.

The last umbrella Ill buy. The only downside is that it isnt compact but the curved handle make it easier to carry when not in use, even if it doesnt fit in your bag.
