> 3 dayThe light is nice enough but the app is a nightmare. It can still be used by touching the little button on the base but that isn’t practical since the place I want to put the lamp isn’t easily reached. You need the app to have a remote and I have given myself a headache trying to get it to pair with the lamp. I will try again later and reassess if I get it to work.

> 3 dayThis is great for a girl 4-9 years old. My granddaughter is 8 and she loves it! The colors are pretty and the remote makes her feel more grown up! I will def buy more for my other granddaughters!

> 3 dayThis is soothing in a dark room. It has an app that allows you to choose from several different color patterns. I am enjoying falling asleep with cozy light patterns. My only dislike is that it is a bit thin. If this were in a child’s room, I would not want them to have access to the globe. The globe is plastic, but if it can be broken my kid was able to do it.

> 3 dayThis light is a nice size and has a nice color when you plug it in. Their is a 6 page manual with lots of useless information about where it is made and how great it is. But the instructions for pairing consist of less than two sentences. You must download an app and then select to pair in one of three modes. I spent an hour trying to get it to pair with bluetooth or wifi without success. The first problem was that to get it into pairing mode you must press the power button three times. But this button does not work. So to get it into pairing mode I had to plug and unplug it multiple times. When in pairing mode, I would select it, enter the wifi password, it would think for a couple minutes and then either say timeout or that it could not pair. There were three pairing modes, ble, wifi and ble+wifi. I tried all three but none worked. The bluetooth pairing mode still required the wifi password. Probably a nice light if it works, but for me it is basically a light with a nice white to orange transition that is on when plugged in and off when you unplug it. Not what I wanted.

> 3 dayThis little light is really amazing! I have NOTHING negative to say. It arrived tucked neatly into a small box and wrapped in protective plastic. The unit itself is one piece. The globe is a frosted glass so I would recommend putting this up where little hands cannot reach it. Once you get this out of the box, download the app on your smart device and be prepared for some beautiful colors and color blends. There are multiple choices preset but you can choose your own color combinations. You can control the brightness and the color temp. This unit is compatible with Alexa and Google Assistant. I cannot express how soothing this little light is. I love the dark blue and keep that as the light theme in my bedroom, this adds a different little flare. It was quite simple to get the app connected to the unit. It basically does it by itself IF you do not plug it in until you have the app downloaded and the app is in pairing mode. Then, plug the unit in and the app will find it. I spent the first 30 minutes or so going through all the colors and combinations. Find the one you like and enjoy!! This would make a great gift for ANYONE who likes LED or mood lighting!

> 3 dayI was hoping for something that would simulate like the morning sun awake up, but I found out it isnt really designed for that. The color selections are nice and they really can make a room mood cozy. It just didnt seem like it fulfilled all their claims.

> 3 dayI used to have a small blue-illuminated orb while I lived in London. I loved it, but could not use it in the US due to voltage and bulb reasons. I always missed that orb, even though it only glowed blue. I was instantly intrigued when I saw this item. Variable brightness. Huge range of colors. Separate color zones for the top and bottom halves. Programmable through an app. WOW! What more could I want? When I unpacked the box, I was first taken by the manufactured quality of this orb. It was much better-made than my blue London orb. It really is an object of beauty, even before it is plugged in. The problems began when I downloaded the Colorpanda app. The app, and the printed instructions for the orb, are some of the worst I have seen. The printed manual is laughable. It basically tells you to download the app, which I did. This brought me into the world of a very badly-designed app. Many of the screens are unreadable. Picture dark grey type against a black background with type so small I could not read it. Other screens had light grey type against a white screen, again too small to read. Sections of the app are advertisements for the sellers other lighting products. What I could read indicated complex steps for programming the various lighting abilities the orb is capable of. All I wanted at the start was to turn on the light and create a steady blue glow. In reality, if you simply plug in the light into a USB outlet, the orb will glow and sort of pulsate in a yellow-orange range. I found no way to change anything about this lighting scheme. I could not get the lamp to connect to the app, largely because I could not find legible directions for how to do this. Other reviewers have described similar circumstances, but one or two mentioned abandoning the Colorpanda app and trying again with the Smart Life app. Bingo! Success! The Smart Life app works quite well and can be used to accomplish anything that would have been possible with the Colorpanda app. You need to pair the orb with the app. I recommend starting with the app, and then plugging in the orb. Smart Life will guide you to pair the app and the orb. Then, your fun will begin. The orb itself seems to be very well made. The light sources within it cannot be replaced by the user, so we are instructed that when the lights no longer work, we need to replace the entire unit. I was able to quickly set a steady blue glow similar to the one I missed from London. But this orb can do much more. There are two lighting zones, one for the top half and one for the bottom half. You can set them to the same color, or multiple colors. You can create color transitions that change over time. You can set timers for turning the orb on or off on a schedule of your choice. The quality of light coming from this white ball is very rich and beautiful. If you give this as a gift, you need also to provide detailed instructions for setting up the ball. If you give it to someone who is not tech-savvy, you may need to help that person get it working. I am fairly tech-savvy, but I almost gave up on getting this working. The seller needs to provide a much better written instruction manual, and the manufacturer needs to make the app MUCH MORE user-friendly. Now that I have it working, I am very pleased with the product and delighted to have it.
