I didnt even know I needed this seat cushion. I have nerve damaged in my pelvic area and it hurts to sit a long time when I am driving. Every couple of months my daughter and I take long car trips to Florida anywhere between 5-8 hours we drive in one day. By the time we get there I am in some pain. I drive a school bus. The most uncomfortable vehicle on the road. I bought my first tush pad 15 years ago. This new pad is miles above the first one which was a glorified pillow. My orthopedist said to get with a cutout for my tailbone (medically called a coccyx). I bought one with a similar shape made of only memory foam but it was too hard and only softened somewhat after sitting on it. This was for my Daughter she fell and broke her wrist and cracked her tailbone in two places. She had broken her taibone before during giving chilfbirth to my Granddaughter. Its not the cheapest, but its the best of those Ive tried. I have two of them now. I had tried a couple of others at about half the cost, when I wanted another for another room, and sure enough they were about half as thick and only half as good in protecting my touche! Recommend this cushion.
