22-11-2024First thing I will say about this is that this cable will only work with PSP2000 or 3000. It will not work with the first generation PSP so be aware of that. The cable is not made of nylon fiber but the cable is durable so you do not have to worry about the cable fraying. It is a component cable and all the cables are colored and separated accordingly so you do not have to worry about getting plugs mixed up too easily. This is not a super long cable. If you are going to use it with your TV just be aware you will be sitting pretty close to the TV. It is good for me in that I have my PS TV right near my desk and do not have to sit very far. The video quality does not look to upscale too much. The thing I thought was annoying is that the settings for the menu is defaulted so that looks good but when you open the game it shrinks the screen significantly. I fiddled around with the settings to get it to work but it does not look that great on a big screen TV. This is not really meant to be an upscale device from what I can tell. It plugs in easily to my PSP and holds pretty well. You do have to go into settings to turn the output to the TV. Do not press the brightness button or it will default to the PSP and you have to exit the game in order to change it back to the TV. Overall I get the point of this cable but I do wish it had a bit more length. It is nice to be able to play your PSP to the screen but bit annoying you have to sit so close in order to get it to work. The cable is durable though. It is a cable if you are okay with tweeking the settings when working with the menu and the game itself. It gives you a bigger psp screen on the TV but it does not utilize the entire screen right off the bat. I would suggest getting a longer cable or an adapter that can easily upscale to the appropriate screen size.

> 3 dayWorks with my PSP-3000 model. The plastic around the plugs will slide off, but that isnt a big deal. My biggest complaint is the cord length. However, I just use some composite/RCA couplers and a standard component cable to stretch it to my couch. PS1 games will display in full screen on the TV, however, PSP games will only display in their native resolution. If you TV does not have a zoom in feature, to get it to full screen, then you are out of luck. Still bigger than the PSP screen, but it wont be the size of the TV. It is not the fault of the cable, just how the PSP operates.

> 3 dayIt works! Displays my PSPs video signal to my capture card (Elgato Game Capture HD and AVerMedia Live Gamer Extreme both tested) at 480p 60fps. Love it. Cable length is great, connections are secure, PSP picks it up easily, just go to your Display Output settings and youre golden.

> 3 dayThis component cable works exactly as youd expect. Native PSP games display flawlessly and look great on a modern TV and run at full-speed. PSP homebrew programs and games also have no trouble displaying on TV using this cable. It should be noted that native PSP games will not be full-screen, and will instead display at a reduced size. This not a flaw with the cable. The PSP does this deliberately. However there are some PSP homebrew games that can manually handle their video output and run at full-screen.
