I like these cause they work great. As good as wood shims. They snap or break so easy and stay in place better then wood. I like them. They are a little bit cheaper then wood.

I love these shims Ive been using them for years but I just buy them from the local stores here and I was excited to find them at a cheaper price with fast shipping online they are synthetic so I dont have to worry about water and them corroding away after some time. its a great product for installing doors, windows and several other applications

These composite shims are of good quality. I like these much better than the wood shims they dont split and are waterproof. Just finished using several them to level a large concrete bird bath.

I have used these shims several places around the house. From a upright dressers that would shake when you walk by, but dont now, to one of th toilets that had a slight rock in it. They are very easy to use and you get a nice volume of the in the pack. Ive had them in place for a bit now and the pieces havent shifted or settled into a new shape. I did have one issue with the breakaway where it didnt break in one spot as it there was extra material there however a utility knife did the job. But this was one situation out of a dozen which did breakaway the excess on the first try. This is perfect for older houses where the floors arent as perfectly flat as they used to be!

I use these to level the granite in my outdoor kitchen. They wont break as easily as you might think, but they do get the job done and can be cut and snapped with a knife, or, if you have the space, cut flat with a grinder. This product meets my needs perfectly. I like them from thin to thick so they can be cut to the length and height you want.

40 Pack 8x1.5 Composite Shims. Tapers from 5/16 to 1/16; put two together for bigger gaps. Snaps clean and easily once you have it securely in place. Eco-friendly: made from 100% recycled plastic material. I use them to level base cabinets; can be used anywhere you need a shim. Supports an amazing amount of weight before deforming. Better than wood shims (plus they dont have to be sawed off).

Smooth on one side ridges on the other. It’s somewhat flexible, more on the thin end. Should work great on a exterior door installation. Shims are handy for many uses including leveling things.

Ive been buying these plastic shims at the big box store for our remodeling project, they wont ever rot or degrade from moisture and they are very difficult (but not impossible) to crush. They are a bit cheaper on Amazon than they are in the retail store, and I honestly cant tell the difference except for the bulk packaging. I find these are easiest to cut off after placement using an oscillating tool as opposed to a razor knife. I dont think I will ever go back to using soft wood shims after my experience with these. Recommended for any building or remodeling project you have coming up!

I didnt even realize they sold sets of shims like this! What an amazing find! I normally use broken off popsicle sticks to slip underneath wobbly tables and storage racks. They are easy to use, you just snap them off to the size you need. With this set of 40 8 shims, I can pinpoint the exact height I need to stop a wobble and it looks decent, not like a bunch of broken sticks, haha! Since these are made from sturdy plastic, they can be used in wet, and rough environments, like the garage, sunroom, and workshop. You can also use these outside on the patio or deck to make a plant stand more sturdy, and stop the umbrella in the patio table from wobbling when you make the table itself wobble-free! I would recommend this pack of shims to anyone- the price is very low, and you can always use these around the house.
