Cooter Snot Tip Dip - Anti Spatter Welding Nozzle Gel, Mig Nozzle Gel (1)

I have 2 welders - a Mig gas-fed Century All-Star 240v Welder, and a small Titanium 120v Flux Core Welder. Im using the smaller welder around my shop to repair an older Jeep with rusty floor pans and some front axle mounts that need to be replaced. With all that going for it, I will want to keep the tip from getting crud build-up forming on it while I weld in the new brackets for the lower control arms, and the coil & shock mounts. The smaller welder tends to throw a lot of splatter - and it goes everywhere, too. I take the tip, which is best when its hot, dip it into the Cooter Snot, which forms a bluish goop on the tip that helps protect the tip from further splatter build-up on the tip. My welder only came with 2 tips. So, with the Cooter Snot on the tip, this should keep the tip in top shape. The price was definitely a factor for this purchase, but when the product showed up in the mail, the size of the jar was much bigger than I intended. Not complaining! Its a great product, too!

I would often dip my tip in this dip. However, sometimes, I would dip my tip in this dip and it would create too much snot on the tip. Point being is you need to make sure your tip is hot before you dip the tip in the dip......which means you need to weld a little. I think if you are getting close to the end of a days weld, you need to go ahead and dip thy tip in the dip when you finish because your tip will be hot. Otherwize, some of the snot comes with it when you do so. A good hot tip melts into the tip. Overall though, Im very happy with cooder snot!

Good tip dip and wife thought the name was funny.

This stuff works. Its especially helpful when doing flux core. I feel like this tub will last a LONG time! I just dip it once its hot and let the run off drip back in the tub. It works for solid wire mig too.

This is a very good product. I used this on my dingus and let me say no spatter stuck anywhere. Love the easy clean up to. Just wipe and go.

I used to love ceramic weld, until i used this stuff.... be sure to remember Just the Tip, even though its great to put on your clamps as well, to keep splatter getting on them.
