This storage extender allowed me enough space in my PS5 to download large games like God of War: Ragnarok and GTA 5 with plenty of extra space.

Great m.2. Has really good storage and very easy to put in. Would recommend this for anyone looking at one.

Installation was quick and simple. Storage runs out fast on the internal PS5 drive to where you have you constantly delete games. Now I dont have to worry with the much needed space. Moving games from the internal storage to the Corsair SSD only take a minute even with large games such as Call of Duty.

I was worried about installing this. No problems and was done in about 10 min. It comes with a preinstalled heat sync. I have been storing and running PS5 and PSVR2 games from this with out any issues at all. I went with the 2 tB memory hoping it will hold me over until PS6 ...lol

Just be aware if You have the third gen PS5 (1200) The heat sink has been totally redone along with the entire motherboard. So there is no green base and the SSD does not snap in it just glides in. If you see older videos you will see the green base and youll hear them say you need to hear the snap. Thats not the case in the 1200.

Incredible performance, and at current prices, these Corsair SSDs are excellent. But... I found the hard-way, that the heatsink bulks the SSD a bit to the sides with 4 odd bumps (2 a-side). Its evidently designed with PS5 in mind, where it surely fits great. But in the ASUS B660I Strix, because of the design of the combo heatsink between chipset and SSD, these bumps prevent this SSD from being installed. I suspect this may be the case on other miniITX motherboards. I had to remove the lower part of the heatsink, which evidently is not meant to be removed as the screws were torqued so much, that I stripped two of them, to be able to install it. I can only hope that, if in the future I need to claim warranty, Corsair will understand.

I’ve been using this to provide additional storage for my PS5 and I have no complaints so far. It significantly raised the amount of games I can have installed at once. I was originally going to get the 2TB model but I’m glad I went with this one instead. Definitely recommend!
