Corsair RMX White Series (2018), RM850x, 850 Watt, 80+ Gold Certified, Fully Modular Power Supply - White, 80 PLUS Gold (CP-9020188-NA)

Used this in a recent build powering a i5-12400f and an RTX 3090. Handles both overclocking and undervolting remarkably well. Build quality is superb. PSU cables and clips are solid if a little stiff. Eco mode is terrific for when youre not straining your system and want a quiet experience. My last PS was a Corsair 620 watt semi-modular bronze unit. It still lives, and powers my grandsons new build. This new PS is ghostly silent. I now have a box of spare power connectors, but any expansion will probably require different ones than those supplied. Not much information included with Power Supply, so I must guess what MoBo and modules require, supplied from which plug?

I have what I guess is the previous version of this power supply. Ive owned it for about a decade now and its worked without issue.

It looks good and fits well. I really like the modular aspect so I dont have to shove extra cables somewhere in the case. My old corsair psu lasted over 7 years and is still in use in another pc.

Pretty easy to install, slight burning smell at first but Ive read that thats normal.

Ill make my rating of the actual product and features when weve finished the new PC build. But that said:

Ive always liked Corsair power supplys and this one is no different than what Ive owned before. This makes my 3rd Corsair power supply and none of them has yet to fail me. I say 3 because thats how long lasting and dependable they are. Always efficient, always dependable, and affordable. I upgraded from a CX550M to this RM750. The 550 is still runs great. My girlfriend has a Corsair VS450 power supply installed in her PC. She doesnt need that much power. She only plays hidden object games online and checks her email, so that is enough for her. This is my first fully modular PSU and Im loving it.
