It makes my computer drive crazy. I was using 2x4 Corsair Vengeance and it was great too. But after the latest games, i needed to build my computer again. My gaming performance was absolutely better after Corsair Vengeance 16 GB RAM.

Bought a pair of Patriot (2x8 GB) sticks a month ago and they were buggy on arrival and crashed applications. Decided to shell out a few extra bucks and got these instead, and they work perfectly! Most of Corsairs product-line is reliable as they have solved my power supply troubles as well.

I purchased these in July 2018 to improve the performance of my desktop. I ran several benchmarks before and after, the computer was faster, not aa much as I had hoped, but faster. In February my normally extremely stable desktop crashed. I could not get it back up and running, I took it to one of our local computer repair stores, they said both sticks tested bad. They gave me both sticks back. The return time has apparently passed...I have had desktops for 20 years + and have never had RAM fail. Hard drives, monitors, even a motherboard, but never RAM. 2 stars because they did work for a while and they did make the system ran faster ....for a while...

This is a limitation of a 32-bit operating system. In Windows, the Windows memory manager is limited to a 4 GB physical address space. Most of that address space is filled with RAM, but not all of it. Memory-mapped devices (such as your video card) will use some of that physical address space, as will the BIOS ROMs. After all the non-memory devices have had their say, there will be less than 4GB of address space available for RAM below the 4GB physical address boundary. MacOS X Tiger and Leopard are both 64-bit operating systems and will not experience this problem. Neither will 64-bit versions of Windows XP or Vista or Windows 7.
