I cannot comment on the performance, but the packaging is what I expect for the price. Eventually memory will come in a package that doesnt require clips and a firm press into the motherboard, but for what it is I like the product. I play DDO and have been beta testing ESO which both push the boundaries of 5 year old 4Gb RAM systems. Jumping to the 16Gb should guarantee that Im not swapping to disk as much for a long time.

Plugged it in, and it Fired right up, very fast speed profile without any input from me. It does XMP(Extreme Memory Profile), which was apparently already active when I went to BIOS to make sure the Motherboard recognized it. If your system utilizes it be sure to enable XMP is BIOS settings, it automatically chooses the best speed for the RAM.

Gekauft habe ich dieses Produkt für meinen Shuttle PC. Insgesammt habe ich nun 32GB verbaut. Zuerst war ich skeptisch, wegen der normalen Bauhöhe, dem Kühlkörper und so weiter.

Mine works well. I hear some people have had issues but mine is good. I do GIS, Photoshop and HD gaming and have been getting along nicely. Would recommend.

This is a limitation of a 32-bit operating system. In Windows, the Windows memory manager is limited to a 4 GB physical address space. Most of that address space is filled with RAM, but not all of it. Memory-mapped devices (such as your video card) will use some of that physical address space, as will the BIOS ROMs. After all the non-memory devices have had their say, there will be less than 4GB of address space available for RAM below the 4GB physical address boundary. MacOS X Tiger and Leopard are both 64-bit operating systems and will not experience this problem. Neither will 64-bit versions of Windows XP or Vista or Windows 7.
