> 3 dayRepeat order with Craftwire. 1st time to order half hard, which is firmer than dead soft, but it worked even better for our project. (Hummingbird swing frames.) Appreciate reliability & quick shipping.

> 3 dayI bought this wire to make hook loops for Christmas ornaments I made on my wood lathe, and it is perfect. I wondered if it would be too stiff, but it is the perfect level of rigidity for bending into tue U shape I need! It may be to stiff for the wire wrapping that some people do, but for the simple bend you see in my photo it could not be more perfect!

> 3 dayI ordered this wire specifically because it was supposed to be bare copper wire but it is not so when I used liver of sulfur to patina my wire wrapped piece, it did not patina any of this part of the wire but did on the other wires I had in this piece. Therefore my piece did not look like it was supposed to. Incredibly disappointing. Wire quality itself is great though.

> 3 dayWARNING: This is BARE copper wire, which means to the uninitiated that it will patina in a short amount of time. The patina (oxidation) turns this wire into a gorgeous brown color--one of two reasons I recommend--but beware! The weathering, or patina, can irritate your skin and cause contact dermatitis, a nasty red blotching and dotting that itches and spreads. Hydrocortisone will clear it up, and you can just use clear nail polish to cover up the part which touches your skin the most. The other reason I recommend this wire? Sturdy as hell. Not as sturdy as, oh say, 12 or 14 gauge copper, but this is also half-hard, which makes this my go-to wire for when I need wire sturdy enough to make hair pins, hoop earrings, etc. and other jewelry which requires stiff but malleaby wire. The companys 18 gauge half hard is also a great buy. For silver plated copper wire at 16 or 18 gauge, I recommend German style silver plated wire. Theres less of the German wire and more expensive, but its a sturdy alternative to bare copper, or if you prefer silver color. Did I mention that the package came in faster than expected?
