A surprising improvement. I damaged my original fan through clumsiness, and ordered these replacements to fix it. I used some of those heat-shrink-with-solder-in-the-middle tubes and it went super smoothly. The new fan performs great and is very nearly silent!

Its the basic fan. Thats it. A pain in the ass to change out but thats expected.
