I used the original spring from my printers extruder as the one in this kit is too stiff. Also, its a bit wonky how the spring is retained on two screw heads.

Surprises all over the place! I was thinking this extruder would be a cheap piece. Its a LOT stronger than it looks. And the new style of the PTFE Tubing capture holds stronger than I thought it would. The Capricorn tubing is really good. This version seems a little stiffer than the other versions I have used. the cutter is perfect, as usual. The wheels are well, wheels But I had one going so It will do the trick! Still cannot figure out what the treaded sleeve is for. This Kit is exactly what the Dr. Ordered, and it all fit like a dream!

One of the pieces in this kit is the one I needed, but I got it as an addition. Hey, now I dont struggle putting new filament in. :)))

This all aluminum extruder is awesome!! Gives you confidence when changing filament that the little handle wont just snap off. Only downside, inlet hole for filament may be unfinished, causing the filament to chafe. I did a quick print filament guide so it now enters horizontal with no issues. This is a good upgrade that will last for a while if only printing PLA+.

Its a lot stronger, but they did not de-burr the hole where the filament goes thru. I had to chamfer mine so it wouldnt hang up. It initially caused a blockage from it dragging and building up a chip. Witch resulted in about 4 failed prints at random intervals before I figured it out. They need a better qa department it feels everything creatality I own is eh but its cheap so I cant complain to much. You get what you pay foe

Within 2 weeks the brass gear stripped. I replaced with steel. Within 3 weeks a groove appeared and the filament was being shredded by the aluminum casing. Im looking for a machine shop to make me one in a stronger material.

Great upgrade for my voxelab aquila. Most 3D printer come with a plastic extruder and the arm will often crack over time. This is a great upgrade!

I bought this as a promotional add on when I purchased my Ender 5+, not really knowing much about the printer or parts upgrades. Im glad I did- during the swap assembly I discovered the factory extrusion clip had a hairline crack where they inserted the brass thread nut. They should make the aluminum standard, at least on the Plus models. The downside is theres not much in the way of instructions, you have to check the old part and figure out the best order for disassembly and reverse engineer it using the parts diagram.
