I had a friend of mine recommend this kit to me. I absolutely love it! I do alot of crocheting and this has everything you need and more! This is the perfect gift for someone who crochets.

Came with everything a beginner would need.

A compact 5 1/2 wide, 7 tall, and about 1 1/2 thick case containing so many necessities for crocheting and knitting on the go or at home. It would be a great starter kit for beginners but is also very useful for more experienced crafters like me who already own supplies. The case has two zippered compartments: one for a lot of accessories and the other for two sets of crocheting hooks. On the left side of the first compartment there are two elastic loops (one of them is holding thread snips), and a small gray zippered case holding a sharp seam ripper, two sets of knitting needle protectors, two kinds of stitch markers, needle threaders, two row counters, and 6 large plastic yarn needles. They are all of a good quality. The cutting implements cut right through a piece of acrylic yarn with no trouble at all. The markers are several different colors which comes in handy when tracking increases and decreases. The zippered mesh pocket on the right side of the first compartment comes with 6 metal tapestry needles, two brightly colored aluminum stitch holders (one about 3 1/2 and one about 4 1/2), a retractable tape measure, three plastic cable needles, and a plastic knitting gauge/ruler with the holes marked in both US needle sizes and millimeter needle sizes. That comes in handy! I liked the ability to see what is in the mesh pocket without having to take everything out. The second zippered section has two sets of crochet hooks. 12 basic aluminum ones in sizes from 2.5mm up to 8.0mm. Thats where the needle gauge will come in handy - the needles are only marked in mms but most of the patterns I use call for U.S. sizes. The needle gauge will help me translate. The other set of 9 crochet hooks have rubbery handles contoured to fit my hand. They are very comfortable to use because of the larger circumference of the handles and the extra grip they give. These hooks range in size from 2.0mm to 6.0mm. To me those handles are the best part of the set and are so comfortable in use. I will definitely be using them a lot. The zipper on the crochet hook section runs smoothly but the one on the front section needed a little help to get around the corners the first few times I opened and closed the case. Seems the binding sewn inside the compartment rubs against the zipper somewhat. I pushed the binding away from the zipper and pressed it down and it seems to have fixed the problem.

Comes with everything you need to start out. And then some! The cutters can be a bit tricky, the string has to be pulled tight for it to cut through cleanly. And the zippers get hung up a little after I have used it for a time, but they still are working. All in all a great kit to buy for a budget-friendly investment for a hobby.

SHAXANO Crochet Hooks Kit with Case, 86 Piece Crochet Hooks Set is pretty much a comprehensive beginner set. The hooks were smooth and easy to hold. The stitch markers worked great. for anyone who wants to start out and not curate every single item this will get you going nicely.

Wanted to find a hobby and came across this crochet set. I am very happy with it, especially the bag that comes with the order because it helps me organize everything and keeps everything in one place. I really appreciate it coming with two different types of hook- I struggled a little with the hook that has the metal grip as a beginner at crochet, but the rubber grip really makes it much easier to manipulate the hook and do the stitches (love that its ergonomically friendly!!).

im happy with this Shaxano brand nice crochet hooks case. i can take all of these different crochet hook sizes along when we go to the beach where i like to crochet at. There are more special tools in there beside all the neat crochet hooks. There are sewing needles in there and stitch markers which come very handy for what i need. You get the plastic yarn threaders too so all is in ONE zipper bag with a Chinese floral (Blue Mist Peonies) design on it. it all comes handy for me and you dont have to look where you put your needle when you want to sew in the yarn after you are done with your crochet work. Also if you decide to use a different size crochet hook its all right there in 1 little pretty zipper bag with 3 compartments. Like i did not think that i liked those crochet hooks with the handle, but i actually do. i tried that one and it worked really well. i am now even more satisfied. I’ve never crocheted before purchasing this set, but this kit gave me everything (and more) that I needed to start a new hobby! I’ve searched tons of products, but this is the best set that I came across because the hooks are very easy to grasp and I was able to organize all of my tools in one container. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a quality crochet kit
